I am actually shocked at the feedback from each of my family members, especially considering how picky they each are and on such a specific individual level as well. It tasted fantastic. They all wanted more and I loved how easy it was for preparation. I'm pretty sure the night that I made this for dinner I had worked a double so I was exhausted but when a kid comes up to you and asks if you are making them "real dinner tonight" your mom heart breaks the guilt set in and you panic as you rush to find some "real food" for your children ha ha but seriously I was really surprised in a good way after trying this product highly recommend 10 out of 10.
I'm all about quick and easy, and delicious. If you like chicken, cheese, bacon bits, macaroni combined in a creamy ranch flavored sauce, this is a meal for you. Just bake in the oven per directions fix a salad or a vegetable and you've got supper ready. Another favorite from Marketside.
The Marketside Fresh Never Frozen Prepared Meal Ready to Bake Chicken Bacon Ranch Bake (32 oz) has good flavor and is very convenient to prepare. It comes together quickly in the oven and works well for a simple dinner with minimal effort. The main drawback is the portion size. It is fine for about two servings, but it feels smaller than what would typically be considered a family-size meal. If you are planning to feed more than two people, you would likely need to buy more than one tray. Overall, it is a solid option for taste and convenience, but the value depends on your expectations for serving size.
We ended up with so many pieces of bacon and chicken that were fatty and chewy, the pasta and sauce were good (after we added seasoning) but we definitely won't purchase this again. (We both wanted it to be good, we ended up eating a sandwich afterwards)
The taste of this meal was not very tasty. Not sure which of the added ingredients was the bad one for me. My husband said when he started to eat was this taste pretty good but by the fourth or fifth bite he stated , " no this stuff has a weird taste" and he stopped eating this dish and we ended up throwing it away. Real waste of money.
The chicken was shredded and soft (you could mash it together). I even went so far as to: Pour a can of enchilada sauce on top and sprinkle diced green onions and Mexican cheese on top prior, to cooking. Aside from the toppings, the meal was tasteless. Tossed the meal and just grabbed a beer.
Not bad for a decent meal when you're feeling too lazy to cook for yourself. However, be prepared to spend twice the amount of time cooking the meal than what is recommended on the instructions. All of the MarketSide meals have to be cooked at least twice as long as the recommended time. Why? Idk. I think the recommended time is for an unthawed product, but the package says keep frozen. I keep mine frozen until I'm ready to cook it. Therefore, this meal took over an hour to cook all the way through.
EVERYTHING WAS GREEN AND MOLDY WITHIN DATE
