At first glance I thought the bag contained overly ripe and slightly tough pods but it only took one minute on top of my bowl of ramen to steam them brighter green and they were fine. I also found one and only one small rotted pea pod in the bag that got overlooked. These are big enough that you should break off the stem tip and pull down to remove the tough 'backbone' string. Considering how few stores carry these at all, this is a good deal.
I don't steam this in the bag. Instead I remove the pods to snip off the ends which are very woody and dense (don't enjoy eating the ends). Then cook them in a steamer until just tender, so they still have some crunch. Sometimes add cheese dip to add flavor. Great as a side dish to meat eats.
Great for Asian cooking, snow peas are also great for eating out of hand from the fridge! Also lovely in salads. And there are probably thousands of ordinary recipes calling either for snow peas or for something for which you could readily substitute snow peas. Good for you, and absolutely delicious. For a packable lunch I'd be thrilled with hot or cold cooked rice, cooked or raw snow peas and a bit of soy sauce, along with maybe a hard-boiled egg and granola. I'd also be just as happy with walnuts and raw snow peas to eat out of hand plus the hardboiled egg and granola These snow peas are must-haves in the fridge in our house. Walmart's are really, really good!
This is the 2nd time I took a chance on ordering food products for car pick up. I've been very pleased with this product. The snow peas are crisp with no flimsy product. I will order these again.
Online ordering for produce like these snow peas is lacking. If these were fresh snow peas, they would have been much tastier. The ones I received were old, dried out, and several were damaged/bruised. Walmart Shopper staff need to be more aware of the produce they're selecting for the online customers that rely on online shopping.
I was given a marked down item! It was old. I threw over half of the snow peas away because they were rotten and slimy! And I was charged full price! I would like a refund for this item. This was not a substitute! I want fresh , not something that is old so it is marked down and then I wasn't even given the discounted price! I can't take a picture because it's in the garbage can!
I want to review the office Wheels I ordered. it shows on your website that there are five Wheels and I only received one. I want a refund so I can get some cheaper Wheels I'm I don't want to pay $15 for each wheel that's more than $50 and I didn't pay that much for the chair
Do not buy as a pick up or delivery item. every time I try to buy them this way, I get a bag with moldy peas in it, even though their "good by" date is still a week away. If you can find a bag without mold, they taste good, but quality control is not there.
This product was missing and I can't find the way to report that so I'm not paying for items I haven't received. This happened last week. I'm very disappointed. I shop exclusively at Walmart but I'm seriously considering shopping at Kroger. They have a pickup service as well.
I don't know why I order any type of produce! These were turning brown on the inside of the packages. The people pulling this merchandise should be told to choose the items if they were receiving it themselves! Very dissappointed in whomever choose the snap peas!
