In a effort to eat better I have been making my own quick homemade Italian soup using all fresh spinach, pre-sliced white and baby bellas mushrooms plus whited onions (I thinly slice) sauteed in my insta pot. Then mix everything together with fresh seasonings (olive oil, crushed garlic and everything Italian you like) and a carton of chicken broth. One pot makes me 8 servings. Top it off with Kraft's wonderful Shredded Mozzarella Cheese with Touch of Cream Cheese (who knew this product was out there) when warming it up in the microwave. Nutritional, but above all, easy, tasty and budget friendly.
One of the few things still priced right and good quality in this economy. They are always fresh and taste great. Love these for salads. I put a couple paper towels in the bag (one at the top and one under the veg) after opening and roll down bag and clamp with a close pin and it stays fresh until I use it up which is usually within 6 to 7 days.
Spinich itself matched resturant quality. The actual spinich flavor was on the mild side. It didnt really push through with veggie cheese traditional omlettes, or bagel burger. The flavor does push through with BLT or Turkey and mayo sandwiches and hogies. I will buy again for recipes!
The spinach was fresh, crisp, and vibrant green. It tasted great in salads, smoothies, and cooked dishes. The leaves were clean and stayed fresh for several days in the refrigerator. It's a healthy, versatile ingredient and an excellent value. I would definitely buy it again
This is a big bag of spinach and will make several large salads and if cooked I'm pretty sure it would feed a family of 4. I made a spinach salad w/hard boiled eggs, pecans, bacon and mushrooms and it served 6 with 2 smaller salads left over. Good Stuff!
Buying bagged produce can be a gamble on quality and longevity but this spinach was fresh and has lasted a lot longer than other packaged produce. We like to add some to most dishes to get an extra punch of nutrients and this has not disappointed us!
These taste all right but this item goes bad unnaturally quickly. Fresh lettuce from my garden lasts WAY longer than this. YES I know this has to come farther and takes longer to get to my table, however, it should last at least a week longer than it does. If you can eat it all quickly, then you might enjoy it. When it goes bad this quick, it makes you wonder about the quality. Plus, most walmart produce seems to come from CA and places with quality control issues. Not really happy about Walmart's produce in general.
I have bought this product many times, just to have some greens because its fairly inexpensive. However, it usually goes bad so quickly that it is hardly worth it to keep purchasing this product. It seems like it may be a waste of money since I often have to throw more of it away than I actually use.
wretched experience with this product. ordered for delivery, received directly %26 refrigerated in under 2 minutes. expiration date was nearly 1 week away. I noted from its appearance, a few leaves appeared slimy. A salad was my meal plan, yet washing the spinach less than 24 hours later for a salad, 3/4 of the bagged spinach was slimy, rotten and inedible. I love fresh spinach but this was a major waste of money. note to self: never purchase this fresh item for use.
Some of the spinach was wiltered/old and slimmy. You can visibly see that through the bag so the shopper did a horrible job picking this and my onions was tore open and onions missing and those was old. I appears they chose to just get me all old produce
