I place orders once a week and this is a staple. With a vegetarian in the house this is a versatile ingredient. It always comes fresh and crisp. I use it in a cold salad, a wrap, with eggs, avocado toast, or even sautéed. I’m never let down. It packs a powerful punch to add a crunch and satisfy you as a main dish or just as a snack. I definitely recommend this.
In a effort to eat better I have been making my own quick homemade Italian soup using all fresh spinach, pre-sliced white and baby bellas mushrooms plus whited onions (I thinly slice) sauteed in my insta pot. Then mix everything together with fresh seasonings (olive oil, crushed garlic and everything Italian you like) and a carton of chicken broth. One pot makes me 8 servings. Top it off with Kraft's wonderful Shredded Mozzarella Cheese with Touch of Cream Cheese (who knew this product was out there) when warming it up in the microwave. Nutritional, but above all, easy, tasty and budget friendly.
I enjoy spinach in my eggs, but I purchased this for a casserole. I like that the leaves were full and there were fewer stems (as in previous purchases). The bag was mostly fresh, with a few mushy parts on the bottom. I just love the vitamins that come from green leafy veggies.
I love spinach salads, and these bags are way cheaper than getting them in containers. I get the large leaves mainly to use in omelets and prefer the baby spinach to make salads out of; ideally, I'd buy one bag of each, but since I can't be sure I'd eat all the spinach in both bags before it went bad, I've taken to just getting the regular spinach and tearing it up for salads. It's become a staple for my low-carb diet, especially in warm weather. My only gripe with it is that it goes bad *so fast*, even faster than other veggies; I pretty much *have* to eat some every day or it gets wasted. Included below are photos of a sausage omelet and a Chicken Piccata salad, both made with this spinach.
The Price is too high. It should be $1.25 not $1.97. This is Walmart. This business (walmart) charges almost as much as grocery stores do and they don't buy in the volume that walmart does. Add to that walmart company already makes enormous profits for the family and the stockholders. Walmart stores need to 'ROLLBACK' all prices on everything in the store and keep them 'ROLLEDBACK'. How much more money do you need to add to the billions of dollars that each family member already has and continues to get when the public (who built your business for you) is suffering and sturggling so terribly. Im really very happy that the family members of the walton family dont know the actual pain of not having enough food to eat however, the public needs your help now. Thank YOU
I'm not sure about the cheese substitutes yet. I'm disappointed that the brands I ordered were not available, but hoping I will like these. The fresh spinach was not what I would have picked. It had obvious signs of not being fresh. Everything else was fine . The delivery was well done. I don't know how you could do better with the ice cream. It was pretty soft.
Once cooked, this is as good as expected. The primary issue for the two star rating is due to the shopping and delivery. This makes twice whereas I have received an open bag of spinach. Furthermore, I have ordered these several times and more times than none, the spinach will start to wilt whilst in the refrigerator. I will have to research if it is okay to still prep and digest when the spinach doesn't look fresh but more so as it does after cooking. This is all while being in the bag. I do recommend it but be careful to purchase a bag that is properly sealed or notify whomever prepared your delivery. Poor handling of groceries can occur from the store or the driver.
Some of the spinach was wiltered/old and slimmy. You can visibly see that through the bag so the shopper did a horrible job picking this and my onions was tore open and onions missing and those was old. I appears they chose to just get me all old produce
wretched experience with this product. ordered for delivery, received directly %26 refrigerated in under 2 minutes. expiration date was nearly 1 week away. I noted from its appearance, a few leaves appeared slimy. A salad was my meal plan, yet washing the spinach less than 24 hours later for a salad, 3/4 of the bagged spinach was slimy, rotten and inedible. I love fresh spinach but this was a major waste of money. note to self: never purchase this fresh item for use.
This product as getting a delivery was the oldest product. I opened up and was visibly noticeable of slimy spinach in the middle and on outside edges. I believe the shoppers are being trained to pick the oldest poorest possible. I'm not happy with is as a delivery and a Walmart shopper. I've been noticing that the vegetables or fruits are poor quality or older. Safeway shoppers absolutely shop for the newest and freshest products. Walmart needs to address this. If this continues, I will stop the yearly free delivery pass and the delivery service too from Walmart. We are disabled and can't shop so we shop weekly.
