Most to the time these are edible. Sometimes its necessary to remove the string, sometimes that won't help.
So.. Weird. Crunchy and tasty enough, but underneath a bizarre sort of coating so it's after 3 rounds of rinsing with cold and hot water. Opened the bag, and grabbed one to eat. IMMEDIATELY got that bizarre acid/bubbly sensation of a slightly fermented food. Felt almost powdery? Just ate another one and although the outside was crunch, the inside was... fizzy? and tasted rotten. Don't really know what's going on, or what this creepy slimy/powdery coating is, but I'm nervous to eat them and will have to throw the entire bag away.
Im like the guy who keep hoping Walmart would read these reviews and realize there is something wrong. but reading all these comments and nothing being done is depressing. This item used to be good, sweet and crunchy. and several times for months, I've been returning this item because they have been over ripe and stringy. I hope they do something about this.
WHAT IS THIS???? I bought these once and they were perfect. Snacked on them raw. Big, juicy, plump, and sweet. Two weeks later I ordered them again and they were AWFUL! Tiny, shriveled, yellowing, stringy, and bitter. I dug through this whole bag trying to find edible ones. Some were slimy and rotting. Thought they were expired but was nowhere near best by date. Unbelievable. I'll certainly never get these with pickup and don't recommend delivery. You can just tell at a glance that these were inedible garbage. We live 25 mins from the nearest Walmart and of course you can't get refunded without physically returning them. WHY? Take some responsibility for your products. They should never be sold like this. They should let you send a picture of the product and refund you when it's clearly not possible to resell. They sat in my fridge a few days while I tried to think of a way to salvage some but they were brown rotten mush before their "best by". These were not ever quality enough to be sold. Walmart produce is getting worse all the time and I know the climate change doesn't help but just don't try to sell garbage. Why were they COMPLETELY different just two weeks before I got them?!
Absolutely pathetic. The shells are too stringy to eat So I shelled the peas so the kids could eat them quicker and wow. What you are calling a pea is ridiculous. From a 16 oz bag I hardly got anything.
i picked this order up on 11/28 and they gave me expired produce that was clearly bad.
And they aren't cheap! $6.00 Return them!
Fibrous and stringy, will never buy these again.
Tough, stringy and half bag rotten.
These fresh Sugar Snap Peas used to be good quality but now are BAD! About 50% of the pea pods are too tough to bite through. We first were getting the bad ones in the 16 oz packages so switched to the 8 oz package and they were still good. The last packages of 8 oz size now have the tough pea pods. The date code is DEC 20 2022, Product of : MEXICO, E2 333 08:34, F10944. Don't buy these peas until the get good ones!
