excellent fish

JoAnne November 3, 2025

I've been looking for Mahi-mahi in the store I used to purchase it from. apparently they don't carry it anymore and it was very disappointing. I was very happy to find it at Walmart. I wish they sold it in larger quantity bags. very good quality mahi mahi. I season, brush it with a little olive oil and broil it. excellent fish! thank you Walmart👍

Poseidon Himself Handed Me This Fish

Cher September 4, 2025

I don’t know who Marketside hired to catch these Mahi-Mahi fillets, but I’m convinced it was either Aquaman, a trident-wielding Poseidon, or some retired Navy SEAL with a personal vendetta against ocean life. I pulled the sleek little 12 oz package out of my freezer, and the air instantly smelled like the gentle sea breeze of a tropical island where dolphins sing in harmony and sea turtles pay their taxes on time. Cooking these fillets was a religious experience. Pan-seared with a little butter, I swear I heard the faint sound of conch shells in the distance. The texture? Firm yet flaky—like the fish spent years lifting weights underwater but still knew how to relax on weekends. The flavor? Imagine if sunshine and a light ocean kiss had a baby, then wrapped it in dignity. My cat sat at the edge of the kitchen, looking at me like I’d finally achieved something worthy in life. Even my neighbor, who hasn’t spoken to me since I accidentally weed-whacked his hydrangeas, leaned over the fence to say, “Smells good over there.” Would I recommend? Only if you’re ready for your entire existence to be redefined by 12 ounces of frozen fish perfection. Marketside didn’t just sell me Mahi-Mahi. They sold me hope.

AWESOME

anonymous October 31, 2025

No Fishy Smell...the size I package will feed only 2 to 3 people.. If you're in my family, maybe in a normal person's family for people ?? But seriously that you get four servings out of it.You're going to need two packages. If you're going to feed four people comfortably. This is a great replacement for the badamundo.I can never find same thickness, it's very sturdy and no. Fish smell which is awesome. No, bones sort of like swordfish, but not flaky like that. So you can saute it I do an orange ruffy type of a feel for it. Definitely have to have sweet vermouth. You can throw in orange juice if you don't want alcohol. I cook it in butter and oil. Because that gives it a crispier outside. If you're going for that, throw in a little bit of flour in that gravy, when you're making it, so you can get some thickness. Extend it out with some chicken stock.. You can do all kinds of things with this fish. I definitely dip it in flour and then egg. So I can get some thickness to that gravy, when the PAN is Searing, the fish add in the pineapple. add in some peaches maybe.. orange juice. If you want peach juice, something with sweetness pineapple juice, something pair it with Coconut Rice. The rice called oh, that escapes me.oh maybe basmati..or..i had to look it up..Jasmine.. Other people cook the coconut rice and coconut milk.Instead of water coarse, I am backwards.I just cook it in water and add in my coconut taste. You can also pick up a coconut extract.. I'm sure you all know what that is, but Throw in some coconut cream, chop up. Some pineapple bits or peaches or whatever you have. throw that in the rice throw in some rosemary in the pan when searing.. You might have to cook that. But generally fish cooks right through while searing. Great tropical..taste..

My go to for protein.

Judy June 2, 2025

They are my go to for a quick bite of healthy protein portion. Easily grilled in a few minutes. It has a mild flavor and a good amount of Omega 3. fatty acids. Cooks up wonderfully on a grill or sauté in a pan.

They stopped putting cooking instructions on the package, all it says is cook to 145 degrees. That's great if you know what you're doing. Put the directions back on.

Good but not worth the price

Iriana December 5, 2025

I really liked the flavor but my issue is the small amount we got for the high price we paid. There were only 3 tiny fillets in the bag. We had to supplement with some salmon we had around in order to be satisfied. If they increase the amount per bag, I would change my review.

not worth the money

Stacey November 12, 2025

not to long ago there was 4 pieces of fish in each bag then it went to 3 and I just opened the bag and there's only 1 good size piece and 1 half of that for basically 1 and a 1/2 pieces of fish per bag. That's not worth what I am paying for it

Disappointed

David March 19, 2026

Package says - 3 servings per container Serving size - 1 fillet Package only included 2 fillets (not 3 as expected) Disappointed because there are 3 in our family.

A lot of added water

Anthony August 1, 2025

A lot of the weight is added water. The pieces look ok on size but once it’s defrosted and drained, you probably end up with a little more than half the original weight. The taste is ok.
