This cod far surpassed my expectations. I will definitely be buying it again. The texture, taste, quality, everything about it is outstanding. And the fact that each fillet is individually wrapped makes it easy to thaw only what is needed at the moment. This is a great product.

I don't usually write reviews for food items but the quality of this product exceeds a couple other cheaper ones I tried. I thought they would all be the same. I cut these fish fillets into bite sizes and batter fry them. The texture is superior to others I have tried. They don't fall apart or get mushy. Great taste.

THAW FOR 24 HOURS IN FRIDGE...RINSE WITH COLD WATER...BAKE AT 425 DEGREES FOR 25 MINUTES...FLAKE WITH FORK...MAKE TARTAR SAUCE WITH SWEET PICKLE RELISH AND MAYONAISE...SPREAD TARTAR SAUCE ON HAMBURGER BUNS...PUT A BIG HANDFUL OF FLAKED FISH ON BUN AND...TA DA...HEALTHY FISH SANDWICHES FOR DINNER!!!

A high quality cod. Each piece is already vacuum sealed in a reclosable bag. We can take out just what we need. I really appreciate that the cod is wild caught.

This cod is what I have been looking for. It has the thickness of what cod should be. It was fresh and clean ocean tasting, as fish should taste. I made the most amazing Cod Fishcakes! So delicious. I will order in bulk as I love to Cod and I have several recipes. Please remember, a Cod Loin will have the thickness you need to cook with. I highly recommend this brand of cod. Enjoy!

First few times I bought this, I was so pleased! Fish was good size and dense. THEN next two times i bought it, the fish were 2 very small "loins" and one bigger size. while cooking in a pan, they had added sooo much water to the fish i had to keep draining the water out because it was "boiling" and not searing at all. super disappointed

the cod loins delivered to me were not what I was expecting, it was a signific purchase for me due to cost but I had wanted them, they were very thick so I watched them closely during cooking despite this they were tough for a fish that usually flakes very nicely. Walmart needs to review goals and stop buying second rate products all over the store especially meat , fish and produce, that being said the current supply of fresh strawberries are above reproach, very pretty.

only 3 fillets in the bag - which i wouldnt mind if they hadnt been so different! 1 was large and fat, one was only like 2.5 oz and skinny and the 3rd was right in the middle - a big hasssle to cook each properly for the same meal. if i was single it wouldnt be too bad lol

I had high hopes for this cod, but it was an absolute disaster. Following the package instructions carefully, I baked it, only to be met with a texture that can only be described as dry, tough, and rubbery. It was like chewing on a flavorless piece of fishing net. There was zero flakiness or moisture left in the fish—it was completely inedible. I've cooked frozen fish from many other brands and have never had a result this bad. This wasn't a case of overcooking; this is a fundamental quality issue with the product itself. The entire 16 oz. bag went straight into the trash. Do not waste your money.
