Very pleasant flavor and texture

anonymous July 11, 2025

A decent price on a nice hummus that is not over spiced. The texture is consistent and is not lumpy or grainy. Good with vegetables, chips, and in wraps. equal to name brands that are much more expensive. Also, it stayed fresh in the refrigerator after opening for a good while.

Really good Red Pepper Hummus and attractive price

ChrisS January 11, 2026

Love it!! I miss their Mediterranean flavor, but the Red Pepper is really good, too. Love having it in the fridge along with celery and carrot sticks, so that healthy snacks are just seconds away! Marketside in general represents great food at an attractive price. Thanks, Walmart!

I Crave This Hummus

Marilyn November 1, 2025

Marketside Gluten-Free Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, 10 oz, Ready-to-Eat, Resealable Cup, 2 Tbsp. (28g). This is the best-tasting hummus that I have tried. I love this flavor the best. I use it as a dip, but it is so hard not to keep eating because it tastes that good. A definite favorite that I will buy again and again.

There was hardly any roasted red pepper in the hummus this time, very disappointing. Usually there is a decent amount but this time maybe a quarter of what I've had in the past. Hope this was a quality control issue and not what the manufacturer intended. I'll order again, and see if it meets expectations

1 Bad Experience in a dozen–but it only takes one.

pinkrocker92 August 25, 2025

TL;DR: Bought hummus, got penicillin. 1st time issue with this brand. Just check your cooler foods before you buy. %23sciencejoke %23nerdhumor %23sorrynotsorry I've been getting this hummus for years. I'm not solely committed to one brand or another, but this brand is typically affordable and has the standard hummus flavors. I've probably gotten give or take a dozen of these in the last 2 years and I've never had a problem. unfortunately, that streak was broken this week as I had it delivered with my groceries and in the dead center of the top of the pepper pile there was a couple little white dots. figured it was maybe something in one of the food items that secreted from packaging or whatever–maybe fat? Well, regardless it wasn't as the next morning I inspected it again to alleviate my curiosity and lo and behold the little white dots now had fur. Now, having a little Puffle as a pet is great! If you don't get em wet or feed them after midnight, a baby Gremlin is a keeper! But that's the trouble with Tribbles, once you notice one–they multiply–and I don't want them in my food of all places. Hey, crap happens, so I'm not nuking them into the Earth. That said, it'll be quite a while before I consider that brand again–if ever; as well as anything else in the coolers. I'm not a germaphobe, but I would consider myself a "IDontWantToEatRottenOrMoldyFoodaphobe" so maybe that's on me. Moral of the story is: Most of those type items in the deli have a clear container or window for a reason. Check it. If it doesn't look right or something's off, pick a different one. God Speed fellow shoppers.

Do not recommend

Anonymous October 4, 2025

The only reason I bought the Marketside brand is because they were out of Sabra brand hummus. I kept it sealed and unopened for about 2 wks after I bought it because I was finishing up another one I had previously bought. When I opened it %26 ate a few bites it tasted OK. Within a week, it had completely molded over on the top, although it was way before the expiration date stamped on the container.

no seal, inedible

Angel September 25, 2025

it was obviously a mechanical error that likely happened to several. wasted money as we didn't have time to return. make sure you take lid off before purchasing because seal wasn't put on properly and covered only part of food, exposing it to air and bacteria making it extremely dangerous as expiration date is for sealed products!

unopened pkg went bad before exp dte

TJ October 17, 2025

The expiration date is 11/22/25, but today 10/18/25 the unopened package was bulging, obviously has gone bad. we are wondering if refrigerated and frozen products ordered for curbside pickup are not getting back to the refrigerator or freezer quickly enough after picking. we've had multiple issues of frozen berries being thawed when picking up groceries as well
