Marketside Grade A Large Pasture Raised Brown Eggs, 12 Count

I have bought these several times, and they are always good quality. They are half the price of some other brand pasture raised eggs, and these are just as good if not better. I would buy these over the expensive name brands any day. They always have great quality and my eggs or egg dishes cook up perfectly. The shells are a nice thickness and crack well, unlike others that have flimsy shells. These are definitely a good buy.

These are phenomenal eggs. Great quality, price, and I buy them because they are pasture raised. That is the most important part. Free range is not enough so don't be duped. You want to get pasture raised. And this price is amazing. The eggs are great and I have no complaint.

Whether it's true or not, I feel better about getting pasture raised eggs because I think the chickens are treated more humanely, at least I hope. Also pasture raised eggs have a better taste, a harder shell and a more richly colored yolk. Basically the same as the few times I've had friend's home raised chicken eggs. I normally get pasture eggs from Trader Joe's because their price was always less than everyone else. But they've been raising their price lately so now this brand cost a little less. First time trying them and they're just as good as Trader Joe's.

Thanks to a one time purchase of these eggs, I'm hooked on the brand Marketside. It's a keyword I use in search at Walmart.com to find out what else they put their name on. The yolks were orange in color. A less expensive Vital Farms Pasture eggs IMO.

The eggs are great! I love that they are Pasture Raised. I buy these to supplement when I'm not getting enough eggs from my own chickens. I'm not sure if the carton needs to be reinforced/stronger plastic or the person that fills the orders needs to be more observant or the delivery person needs to be more gentle, but every carton I have purchased comes with at least one egg broken. Just be prepared that you may not get a full dozen usable eggs.

These are much better than the standard egg. However, it's not as high quality as vital farms pasture raised eggs. But the price difference is large enough to make these a perfectly fine alternative to cut cost but still get a nutrient dense egg with better flavor. just watch out for broken eggs. That's my biggest issue with these. There tends to be 1-2 broken eggs in most packs. I do get my groceries delivered so that could be a factor in that. I don't really have broken egg problems with vital farms or Sam's club pasture raised eggs. So just watch out for that. Still recommend them over regular eggs if you budget allows.

They seem fine; I use them in baking so can't comment on flavor. I do wonder on which end of the "pasture raised" continuum they fall , but given the price it seems likely it's the very minimum to meet the standard. Will probably pay a bit more and switch to a brand that's been independently assessed as on the high end of the allowed parameters determining the chickens' quality of life.

When I first started buying these pasture raised eggs the yolks were a deep orange which made believe that the hens were getting lots of bugs to eat. The last couple of times the yolks have been very pale. I don't like to have to worry about the hens welfare but I am. The pale yolks indicate a lack of proper nutrition. I hope this changes soon.

I gave these 3 stars because the quality isn't consistent. The first time I purchased these, the yolks were a deep orange color and the second time they were a very pale yellow. Orange yolks are consistent with forage fed hens and yellow suggests a grain heavy diet. Since they are marketed as pasture raised eggs, it was disappointing.

I felt weird after eating these eggs twice. I had to throw them away. I switched to "cage free" eggs that don't make me feel weird after eating them. If "pasture raised" eggs are from chickens raised in the elements, it means that whatever pollutants are near the farm will be in the eggs. I'd rather have more confidence in knowiing what i'm eating .
