wish meat in general was cheaper but splurging on something every once in a while is ok. smoke at 225 until internal temp gets where you like it and definitely let it cool before cutting to re absorb the juice. if you cut it hot the juice runs out on the cutting board and your meat will be dryer.
I got 2.5%23 tri tip. I l.o.v.e BBQ. Out of the question where I live. I put in in my slow cooker with seasonings and later every vegetable in existence. Tender and tasty. yumm
Grass fed is healthier for us. It was very flavorful and tender. I wasn't sure what to expect. Now we need organic grass fed pirk!
cooked up well in the slow cooker and didn't make it overly greasy the shop really did me a favor by checking on the fat I thank her for that for him
I guess I'm never crazy about tri tip, It's not the most tender cut of meat, no matter how you slice it.( pun intended ). I seared it on the grill pan, and put the entire thing in the oven at 8-10 mins per lb .at 350 Leftovers are going to make great burritos .
Gross , meat beet red, had not a trace of fat, roasted the normal way, meat was tough as shoe lather, flavorless and I almost cried. 62 yrs of cooking for a family of seven and Now I get ‘this' expensive uneatable dog or horse roast certainly not an American roast . Very disappointed !!!!
Worst tri-tip I've ever purchased. The one I usually buy was out of stock. Not one slice was tender or edible. And I cut it correctly. Total waste of money. Will never buy again.
NOT A TRI TIP, FLANK STEAK FOLDED TO LOOK LIKE A TRI TIP. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN FOOD FRAUD. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN
This was the worst Tri tip ever!! So tough didn't grill nice and juicy did low and slow and tough and chewy
So tough and small. Terrible. And no it wasn't over cooked. Medium and still could barely cut it with a steak knife. Worst tri tip I've ever had.
