I usually select the 93% lean ground beef but they were out. The 90% was substituted. I was pleasantly surprised because it was not that much fatter, and for less money. I will continue to buy 93% lean but won't be unhappy if Wal-Mart makes this substitution again.
This Marketside Grass-Fed Ground Beef has quickly become my favorite ground beef option. The 90/10 lean-to-fat ratio is perfect for so many meals because you get great flavor without having to drain off a lot of excess grease. I've used it for tacos, burgers, casseroles, and pasta dishes, and it has been consistently good every time. One thing I really appreciate is that it's vacuum sealed, which helps it stay fresh and makes it easy to store until I'm ready to use it. The grass-fed quality is another big plus, and the beef has a fresh taste and texture that reminds me of buying directly from a local butcher shop. Considering the quality, the price is surprisingly reasonable and comparable to what I'd expect to pay for premium ground beef elsewhere. If you're looking for a lean, flavorful ground beef option, this one is definitely worth trying.
This ground beef cooks up really well and definitely delivers on convenience. It browns quickly, handles nicely in the pan, and is easy to heat for weeknight meals. It's great for hamburgers with mashed or fried potatoes, meatloaf, tacos, or anything else you'd normally use ground beef for. If you want a snack and to use up leftover ground beef — tuck it into refrigerated biscuits with a little cheddar cheese in the oven, for the time the biscuits say to cook them. I am unsure if I will continue using this or just conventional ground beef, but I have bought it a few times when the price was right.
It was the cheapest I could find for the lower fat content. Quality is not that great. I think the ground beef that comes on the tray and wrapped in plastic wrap is better quality..
Marketside 90/10 ground beef is pretty good. Better still are the green labeled Organic versions - 85/15 and 93/7. Pricing on the 85/15 is, for me, the gold standard. Really good stuff!
it seems to be watery lately. i don't know how else to describe it. watery, thin and harder to shape into a patty that doesn't fall apart. it was better last year.
The package was open, and no one was available to speak with in person. And the team members that were bringing items to the customers were some very unfriendly and hesitated about finding out information concerning the phone number that DOES NOT WORK TO GET CHECKED IN IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I will never shop at walmart again nor will I refer any of my friends or family.
This is disgusting! It has hard chewy ball like chunks all throughout it. I was so disappointed and the price is ridiculous. Their cheaper ground beef has chunks of bone so I decided to try this. Both are terrible. Gross! I won't buy meat here of any kind anymore. Too many gross experiences.
This item was substituted for organic grass fed. It was not shown as a substitution or I would have rejected it as a substitution. I want to return it and get my money back.
The quality of Marketside meat products has gone way down. This hamburger used to be good, now it is so gristly I cant even eat it. I wont be buying this, or any, Marketside meat again.
