Marketside Hickory Smoked Young Turkey, Fully Cooked, Gluten Free

I purchased this since I was hosting Thanksgiving this year and no one volunteered to bring a turkey. About 30 of us and everyone claims to not like turkey. It was funny that there was none left. Everyone was pleased and said I could bring it every year because I did good (bonus- it was precooked)!!!! Flavor was superb!! It sounds like I just inherited a new Turkey Tradition but I will need a bigger Turkey next year.

I was really hopeful this would be good and my expectations were completely surpassed! This turkey was so juicy, so flavorful and this made meal prep an absolute breeze! All the leftovers were amazing. It's been a few weeks since I had some of this turkey and I'm still craving more!

Good size mine was just about 12 lbs. Instructions were easy. The only problem was removing the plastic truss deep holding the legs to body (maybe due to my arthritic hands and fingers). Taste was very mild hickory which I liked, turkey meat flavor and texture was excellent. Short heat oven time, great! Easy carving meat very moist and almost fall apart tender. Made my Thanksgiving dinner ! ~k One more item to be thankful for!

The turkey really has a legitimate smoked flavor that you could actually taste and smell. it also was not dry and surprisingly tasty and moist . I was so impressed by the overall size , taste, flavor, and value of the turkey that we are purchasing another one for Christmas dinner as well. I believe we have found our new source for smoked whole turkey for our annual thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

We could not find a smoked turkey in any local grocery stores. Online, they were outrageously and ridiculously overpriced. Then, we checked Walmart online - and we found one! And, it was affordable and delivered the next day. Wow! It was very delicious and the hit of our Christmas party. The leftover bones made a delicious bone broth. We hope Walmart has them available next year - we'll order one for sure. Maybe more than one.

I bought 2 of these last year and have one in my freezer from this year. This last purchase was a gift and the response was very positive. I think it's great when anything doesn't have carrageenan. Glad this product is there and the ingredient list doesn't scare me at all. The bones when boiled clean for turkey soup make great smoked turkey stock when boiled a bit more.

I was skeptical about buying this turkey when I volunteered to bring it to our family Thanksgiving dinner. It turned out great. Everyone liked it. It was flavorful and moist. I put chicken stock at the bottom of the roaster with a rack and the turkey on top and tinted it cause I was nervous about it getting dry. I basted it about 7 to 8 times to make sure that it was moist. I followed the reheating directions for it based on how many pounds and I tinted it until about the last 15 to 20 minutes of cooking.

I buy this turkey every year. I pop some onion in the cavity, put some compound butter on it and make a great turkey that the family loves. I am in no way someone who does my own smoking and it does that I need. I have a small family and they devour my turkey and it's thanks to picking up this turkey. If you can smoke your own then yes do that. However not all of us can afford or have the ability to. It will help you make a great tasting turkey when you can't do it yourself.

This "smoked" turkey was really good. Wish they had one smaller since it's only for my husband and me. It was a little tricky when thawing. After 2 days (as per the directions) there were still parts of the bird that were frozen. I cooked it anyway. I would certainly buy this again...

I have purchased in the past and it was good. Followed the same instructions this year and was completely dissapointed. All the juice was in the bottom of the pan overflowing and the turkey was dry. For the cost of $50 it was very sad to see this turkey wasted.
