I gave a review on the plain cornbread. This is a step up. I love it well, I like spicy stuff because I'm spicy myself. However, this cornbread is delicious, absolutely flavorful and you will love it, especially with collard greens and barbecue chicken. You'll love it with fish. It's an absolute great addition love. It can't say anything negative about it. I will continue to buy it as long as they sell it.
This cornbread is delicious the soft buttery taste is great then when they say cornbread it actually has corn in it along with the jalapenos I loved it hope you do too but if you want it firmer put it in your oven and bake it or toast it that's what I did I put it in my countertop oven and toasted it till was nice and crunchy
This Jalapeno corn bread is delicious, it's great warmed up with butter on the side of Chilli! I usually just warm it for a few seconds or so in the microwave, spead some butter on it and eat it like that! It's always fresh and great, I really enjoy it it's delicious.
Pros: It has a nice flavor with just a vary mild kick from the jalapeños. If you're not much of a cook, like me, it's a convenient way to get cornbread. Cons: No where near as good as home made. A little moister than I like. Bottom line: Not the best cornbread, but it is convenient and I certainly have no problem polishing off the entire tray.
I love many of the other Marketside baked goods from the deli department, such as cakes, buns, rolls, bread etc. But,the cornbread i did not like because it tasted similar to Jiffy mix which i do not like. The jalapenos were good in it,just not the texture of the cornbread itself, too soft.I like cornbread made with bagged cornmeal, not artificial boxed mixes.
I should have made it myself... I know this. But i tried to take a shortcut to buy a few extra free moments and not doing dishes. This is the sweetest bread item I've ever eaten. Not the sweetest cornbread (although it is also that) but it is sweeter than any cake, sweet bread, pancake, or muffin that has ever crossed my lips. Its like someone made cake, tripled the sugar, spilled some honey into it, and dumped some jalapenos in like spicy sprinkles. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but maybe they should be in charge of something like those Christmas fruit cakes no one eats instead... because this will live in my nightmares forever.
Convenient product, but something about the taste just isn't right On paper this is a great idea — a pre-prepared jalapeño cornbread that's ready to eat with no effort, and the 4-count pack is perfect for a family of four. We were genuinely looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately all four of us agreed something was off with the taste. It's hard to put a finger on exactly what — it just didn't taste quite right. Nothing about it was enjoyable enough to finish, and none of us could say we'd want it again. It's a shame because the convenience factor is genuinely there, but taste is the one thing a food product can't afford to get wrong.
When somebody puts any type of thing that you have to cook, don't buy the premade stuff just cancel the item. I want things that I don't have to cook right away. All of this cornbread is going to go bad when I wanted it in the box so I can decide when I wanted to eat it. Waste of money.
Recommend this if you're a fan of "Really " sweet cornbread. Normally make my own but oven is out and waiting on new one. It's not bad if you're looking for sweet cornbread, like cake sweet. I ordered jalapeño expecting a not sweet, no one in our family liked it.
I really wanted cornbread! Was craving it enough to buy this really sweet cornCAKE..NOT real CORNBREAD. IT WORKED, KINDA..with my pinto beans. the jalapeños really helped
