I have never bought these from any of our Wichita stores and received a fresh box. Always they are hard, semi stale and dry. When I ordered them out in Fresno California, they were soft, moist and fresh. Why are the ones I get in Wichita so dried out and hard every time for the last 2 years I've bought them?
Marinated in Balsamic vinegar, thyme, fresh tosemary, chopped gatlic, salt %26 pepper for one hour. Seared in olive oil, both sides, coolers on low for about 6 minute flipping. Let rest for 10. Never bought this cut before but I sure will again! Absolutely delicious and no overpowering flavor. Oh, I trimmed some of the fat before cooking.
The cut of lamb is delicious when pink and very savory well done. The meat is tender like steak. One is a great meal with a baked potatoe, asparagus. Tasty meat.
I love making Japanese Curry once in a while and have always used Lamb, and S %26 B Curry Mix added to the fresh cut up potatoes, onions and carrots. Makes it so simple and always comes out delicious!
Walmart seems to be the only place that's affordable for lamb delivery when you crave it. chop is tender juicy, just the right amount of fat to render and get crispy on the grill or cast iron skillet. not gamey at all, but then again I do love lamb. (med rare) pls don't judge me! it serves one person if you need to know how much to get for dinner guests. I enjoyed it with just salt and pepper. sorry Weggers but Walmart's got ya beat as far as quality price taste and value with their lamb. delivered too. yes I recommend these chops 👍👍
Don't trust anybody to pick out your meat for you. It was 80% fat for a lamb steak. Should not be having to pay for the weight of that much fat and I eat lamb a lot. Very disappointing.
So I ordered more of the same cut since to me they are delicious! But received a replacement one instead and only one piece. I am sure it will also be good. Just wish Walmart would replenish their stock.
the only problém i have is when you order online, the shopper always grabs the wrong ones if you order more than one. i have uet to figure out how to get ONLY the ones pictured!
Too much fat and bone. Too expensive for amount of lamb meat you get. Too hard to cook. Lamb burger and lamb chops are better for the value and taste better.
The reason why I only gave one star is simple, the two steaks i ordered were outdated ,, in one word Bad rotten the stench was a little strong yet I didn't pa attention because I thought the stench would go away, but it didn't, the result was uglier than I expected it because the meat itself tasted rotten and bitter 🤢🤮note, I have ordered it the same items in past orders yet the steaks were delicious but this time they came in a horrible chape 😂🤷🏾♂️
