Marketside Large Cage-Free Brown Eggs, 12 Count

These Marketside large cage-free brown eggs are of excellent quality and superior value! I had for years been purchasing a different name brand for my eggs. They come in exactly the same secure container as the name brand eggs (which almost always ensures clean Unbroken eggs). Additionally, the quality with regard to freshness and taste is absolutely excellent with these brown eggs. I have also noticed quite pleasantly that the eggs are well cleaned before being placed in containers. That is not always the case with eggs and certainly not with every brand. I have in the past actually received eggs that had dirt and other unpleasant stains on the shells. These Marketside eggs... always arrive in clean, pristine and fresh condition. It must also be mentioned that these eggs come in at a considerably lower price than any of their competitors at this level of quality. (With regard to their closest competitor, at the time of this writing, these dozen, brown, large, cage-free eggs, are $1.40 less, per dozen! For the same quality, number of eggs, packaging, cleanliness,... And overall freshness, taste and flavor. Why pay more?

I raise poultry and buy eggs when mine aren't laying. With that,I KNOW a fresh egg. These eggs were SO fresh, I was unable to peel a hard boiled egg because the shell was so stuck to the egg (sign of real freshness!!) these also have great taste! a buttery, delicious taste, unlike The" Eggland's Best" which are tasteless.

these brown eggs have a really clean taste to them whereas the ones that are cage raised I guess to me I can't don't like the taste because I only eat boiled eggs and these seem to be for the price really good tasting eggs at the shelf heals off very easily

I thought the eggs were okay although instead of being large, they were more a medium size. Then just this morning I received a email saying that the brand I purchased was recalled which matched my UCP number, but not mentioning if I can replace it with another brand cuz I still have a half dozen left. So no mention or refund?🤷🏻‍♀️

The shells on these eggs are very fragile. They always end up with pieces of shell into anything you open them into. Every single time. They are also not cage-free. having them in a big barn doesn't make them cage-free. It's just a bigger cage. If I had known that, I would not have bought them in the first place.

Don’t waste your money. Just keep buying the cheaper ones. “Cage free” is literally just a marketing phrase to make commercial chicken houses sound better to folx that don’t know anything about farming for the masses. You’re still going to get pale yolks because they’re still not feeding their laying hens the right nutrients, the size is still wildly inconsistent, and the shells are the same roulette of “will this crack or crumble”. I tried, I failed, I refuse to throw more money away.

Today is February 1, 2026. I received my order a few minutes ago, and the carton of eggs has a “Best by 12/20/25” date. I did receive a refund; however, if I try to reorder eggs, I would need to spend $35 to qualify for free delivery. That’s frustrating.

I am starting to think Walmart should be more careful and vigilant of product quality assurance. These eggs had a sell by date of June 8th. Hence I went to use the last ones the day before and they were cracked and runny already. I attempted to proccess a return/refund in the app and received message to bring item to the store. Who wants to carry broken, expired eggs to the store? 😏

Most times we have gotten eggs, and we have gotten the brown organic expensive eggs, there is usually at least one or two, and sometimes there have been three eggs that were broken and damaged in the carton. Mind you, with the price of eggs and this continually happening This is unsatisfactory. You need to train your employees to open the eggs and check them carefully before they put them into the orders. Over the stretch of time this has cost us a large amount of money because we go through at least two cartoons per week. We have not complained about this, but we’ve discussed it and decided we need to start doing something because This is getting costly on our end.!

I just got an email notice that some eggs I bought recently have been recalled, with no option for a refund unless they are returned to the store. Ridiculous! Why should I have to return something that is defective in order to get a refund? I’m 76, handicapped, and I always pick up my order precisely because it is difficult for me to navigate in the store. I’ve already eaten five of the eggs, and one was already broken in the carton. Also, the email is a do-not-reply, so now I have to figure out how to contact the store. Very poor service!
