Lot of slices. Had a crunch to it. Probably good with dip, also. I thought bread could have been a little softer. Definitely crumbly. I'd try again.
This is a surprisingly good sourdough bread, and sliced for convenience. Only reservation is that the label or listing don't show culture information, or whether the bread actually contains the cultures sourdough should always have. But it is a very tasty bread and seems to stay good for a long time.
I've got to give it to Walmart bakery, I've never had anything of bad quality, and this bread is no exception. It's got the perfect texture and it makes great grilled cheese sandwiches and toast especially. It has a nice, not too strong sourdough flavor. It's a very tender crumb, if you prefer a stronger crumb the regular sourdough loaf is the better alternative.
Well, sometimes I’ve gotten sourdough bread and it was like eating white bread. This has a definite sour to it and that’s what you’re looking for with sourdough bread. Not sure if anyone remembers the brand, San Francisco Sourdough Bread? But this is a close second to that brand. It is nice right out of the bag or toasted lightly and has been a good treat for the bread lovers here.
I did not expect much when I ordered this bread. I've bought "specialty breads" from Walmart in the past and they just did not live up. I can beef up my starter but I really don't have time to do home made breads, Sourdough or others. I did not expect much when I ordered this but I am pleasantly surprised. The slices fan without having to separate, the centers are enjoyable without being "mushy" and the crust comes out crisp when warmed in the convection oven. The flavor is really quite good. I would recommend and I will buy again.
It’s not bad at all. It has good flavor crunch with butter or a hot sandwich. I wish I could find here at Walmart good 3 ingredients sourdough bread. But you really can’t unless you go across town to buy a loaf. I have tried from Walmart other sourdough sandwiches bread and I didn’t care for the texture and taste. I have tried the rosemary bread and not bad at all. I love the way is make my home smell.
I love sourdough bread. My absolute favorite sourdough bread is sold by a higher priced grocery store here in Florida. However, because I must use a walker now, I didn’t really want to get out and haul the walker in and out of my car just to go into that grocery store for one loaf of sourdough bread. So, I decided to take a chance and order this bread with my delivery order. I was very pleasantly surprised! While the crust is not as “crusty” and crunchy straight out of the bag as this other higher priced store’s, after I toasted this bread the crust came out every bit as good. If you’re looking for a good sourdough bread without having to go into a higher priced grocery store or specialty shop, this is a great option.
This is pretty good for plain old white bread, but it isn’t sourdough. It doesn’t have the chewy texture or the tartness that sourdough bread should have. It’s just a nice looking round loaf of bread, kind of dense, quite bland. It’s not terrible, but I won’t buy it again. It’s way too expensive for boring white bread.
For the second time in a row this bread has grown mold before its due date. I didn’t complain the first time but guess I should have. This time I took pictures. Wasted my money.
literally was all crushed
