Delicious
Very soft and moist. The flavor however tasted a little nutty even though there were no nuts in it. It kind of had an after taste of almonds but the lemon flavor did pull through. The cake is definitely a choke cake so you will need a beverage with it. But it tastes so good that I don't mind.

not as good as it looks
this looked delicious but the cake had only a mild lemon flavor and the frosting was not very good; more greasy than rich and buttery. 2 of three if us in the house were disappointed. will be tossing out half the cake.

Aldi's Lemon Cake is a LOT better
i can't recommend this cake, and i won't buy it again. i'm eating it because i don't like to waste, but it would be better if i had some ice cream to help it go down! It's dry. The bottom has that unpleasant overcooked taste. It's not burnt, but its very brown. There's a coating of crunchy sugar which crumbles and makes a big mess every time you take a forkful, and there is virtually NO LEMON TASTE.

this says that it's a lemon cake and it looks like a lemon cake with a yellow cake with yellow frosting it doesn't taste at all like lemon and it is not the refreshing lemon cake that it pretends to be!

Choking Dry
The cake had fresh sticker date 12/04/23 the fresh date when pull back the top sticker had 11/18/23 today date is 11/22/23 this was a pickup order the cake was dry old and crumble up and the frosting was hard and fell off the top of the cake ..thanks Walmart do your "Guarantee Fresh" mean nothing ?

Where’s the lemon?
Not to my taste, it seemed quite dry and the texture was crumbly. I was hoping for a lemon special, this wasn’t it.

Terrible choice
Walmart should be ashamed to sell a stale horrible product. I cannot believe you let something like that walk out of the door. It is so hard and so dry and shameful.

The expiration date is tomorrow. I don't recommend accepting expired products.
