Quite good. These sausages have a somewhat coarse texture that makes them feel more meaty. Be careful not to overcook them, or that meatyness will turn drier than you want. I have had best results cooking he sausages in aluminum or iron pans on the stove, then transferring those to the oven at medium heat. I have had less success using these in pasta or flatbreads, and I prefer to serve them whole. The hot versions of these are just as good, although not very spicy for a person who craves fire.
These turned out better than expected for an everyday mild Italian sausage. The flavor is exactly where it should be, seasoned enough to be noticeable, but not overpowering, so it works in different types of meals without clashing with other ingredients. The “mild” label is accurate, but it’s not bland. There’s a subtle seasoning blend that comes through, especially once cooked, and it pairs really well with pasta, peppers, or even on its own. If anything, I’d describe it as balanced rather than spicy. Texture-wise, they stay juicy without becoming greasy, which is something I always look for. The casing isn’t tough, and it cooks evenly whether you’re using a pan or finishing them on higher heat. The size of the links is also practical, not too small, so they feel like a full portion, but still easy to slice or incorporate into recipes. Overall, this is a reliable option to keep on hand if you want something versatile that cooks well and doesn’t require much effort to make it taste good.
This WAS my favorite sausage. I haven't been able to get it in Linck sausage for weeks! On line it says OUT of STOCK for like 8-9 weeks, so I called the Grocery and asked what was going on with my favorite Link Sausage, I was told they are no longer carrying it in links, only in patties and ground bulk. It tasted fantastic and had little to no shrinkage when cooked. So my opinion is this, If you were one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy Marketside Italian Sausage Links you're probably as disappointed as I am and if you didn't ever get to taste it, you really missed out on a good thing
Pretty darn good in my spaghetti sauce! At half the price of that other brand! I was apprehensive at first, but I took a chance! I'm glad I did! These are really good! I'm going to grill some in the future ,with peppers and onions, I bet they'll be the bomb ,on some good rolls! Delicious!
I only started eating this brand a few months ago. Walmart did not have my usual brand and I saw this right alongside it. because the packaging isn't as noticeable as my typical brand I guess I just never really paid much attention. I noticed the price was nearly a dollar less and a few times it has been about $1.50 less than my brand. I tried these sausages and found that they are just as tasty as the other two name brands that I've used in the past. I normally cook my sausages in the air fryer at 400° for approximately 9 minutes. I have found that I need to cook these for about 11 to 12 minutes to be fully cooked but it's well worth it. very tasty sausage well made sausage and very affordable. from now on I will look for other Market side Foods in order to save money now that I know that the quality is just as good as the much higher price name brands
My regular brand was out of stock, these got substituted instead. For a mild sausage they are not to bad as far as taste and spice is concerned. The skin is a little tougher than other brands, so it does give you a nice firm bite when eating. Threw them in the air fryer at 400 for about 20 min or so. I added Sweet peppers and onions on top to get the flavor about half way through. It does leave the peppers/onions with a firm bite. You can always cook longer if you prefer a softer texture. Together tossed on a bun with your favorite mustard added, makes a great combo for sure. I did a a few left over and just cut up the next morning and used as a breakfast sausage. I will say they tasted alright with some eggs. Spice is there for those that like the flavor, it does say mild, but I personally think it's a little stronger than other brands I have eaten.
First, I like hot sausage, not mild. I got this mild sausage as a substitute in my grocery delivery. I usually get hot in this brand and I like it, so I imagine if you like mild it would be good. This was a driver who shopped my grocery order, not a Walmart employee 😒 He didn't notify me about substitutions until he was on his way with my order, so I couldn't even decline it. Needless to say, I wasn't happy that my money was wasted on an item I won't eat. Again, nothing to do with Walmart this was a driver issue. 😒
The Items were left at the hallway entrance to my house and no one rang the doorbell to let me know the items had arrived - I am handicap and it was very difficult for me to drag some of the items inside my house. The hallway is almost 20 feet from edge of lawn to to my front door. I have the driver's photo of where the bags left - so disappointed in the delivery service for this order and it's not the first time this has happened.
Ordered this 10 days ago and I just took it out of the freezer to cook and noticed that it expired yesterday. I guess it's the price I pay for not doing my own shopping but you would hope, for what you pay for Walmart , that you could trust that whoever is doing the shopping that they would consider checking expiration dates.
I waited for 2 hours to receive my groceries once I was told they were ready and I arrived at the store. When I was unpacking my groceries at home, it was clear that the ITEM WAS TURNING COLOR. Walmart chat told me to throw it away and they would refund. After throwing it away, I received an email the next day telling me I had to return the item to get a refund.
