A great hickory smoked ham that can be cooked with enclosed glazed packet for that family gathering or simply slice this precooked ham and package it into smaller portions to eat throughout the year as you please after proper packing it for the freezer.
I got this for my daughter and son-in-law as a late Christmas present for their home. They have so many pots and pans and lids and nothing matches now they can throw all that old stuff out and have a nice new set and it's perfect. It's just the two of them and a 10 month old baby. We just opened it up and it. Far exceeded my expectations in definite must buy. I'm actually gonna buy myself a set!
I personally have never cooked a full ham before and I don't think I will ever have to do it in a simpler manner. I followed the recipe to the T . Tho I didn't add the honey crackle part at the end .. It was plenty sweet and being that I am single and I have no family members that I associate myself with , and since I moved to Bakersfield I have learned that folk's who say that they are your friends AIN'T worth a f:;k .. I butchered the ham up , sandwich meat, pot o beans sized portion and a big ol bag for some split pea soup and I got me a ham bone with plenty of meat on it … These hams are simple enough to make that you're ( dropped out of school , and got pregnant in Tenth grade with twins with two separate daddy's lil pretarded wish they were adopted first born child could make it ) !!!! Easy peasy !! TRUST ME -YOU CANNOT GO WRONG!!!!!
This has was delicious, i love spiral hams, most of the work is already done for me. Mine was 10 lbs. i glazed in between slices and the surface with honey and butter, cooked 2 hours covered in foil at 325 degrees. Then brushed with more honey, sprinkled the packet it came with on top the honey and baked 10 more minutes uncovered at 425. So good, im gonna use the bone and rest of the ham on the bone for a pot of beans. Definitely buying again
I normally get the ham that's in the purple foil but all they had was this one in the yellow one and it was actually better than the other one. I was very impressed and it was big. It was kind of expensive though, but everything is expensive right now.
I cooked this in a covered roaster in an oven bag at 325° for two hours with a splash of water in the bottom and this was the driest ham I've ever had. It wasn't salty (I honestly thought it could have been a bit saltier for my taste) and I didn't care for the glaze as it seemed to have too much spice. I have liked the other spiral sliced hams I've bought, like the salted carmel one - but this one is not very good.
It will do it is not the greatest ham I've ever had but if you're hungry and you're trying to feed people and they don't critique their food it's not bad like anything at this time in life if you need food again for those hungry people out there God bless it's worth the time and it goes a long way
It is advertised as a spiral cut ham and it wasn't! It did look like a spiral ham but it when I could not separate the slices, I cut into the ham and saw that the spiral cut was only about a half inch into the ham! It was a solid ham, no slices (except for a small section at the bottom). What a disappointment and a rip off! I have no pictures. I had to cut and serve my Christmas fake spiral ham!
This was the worst thing ever . Let me explain why I of course think I am going to buy this so I can cook , cool and package it up freeze it for quick meals and sandwiches No NO it of course would be the worst thing I did that week. If you have not worked in a hog processing plant you could never imagine how nasty an abscess is when you find one when you are trimming hams in these places, Well I am not lucky enough to not know what it is,I have worked in a place like this. Well I am going to just say the smell that Hits you like a mack truck 🚛 at 80 mph when heat hits these abscess is not recommended for the weak.. So no I don't think it's worthy anything and I didn't find out how to return the thing because definitely not going to ride with that thing in my vehicle to return
I couldn't get my money back on it. It was slimy and leaked all over my fridge. I was afraid to eat it. Total waste of money and no refund available without taking it back to the store. I threw it away immediately. There wasn't a possibility for return. Next time I'll take their bad meat and throw it in one of their buggies and roll it in to the store for everyone to see.
