Very good cheesecake. However, the advertised weight on the package is exaggerated. I weighed it the last time, as it appeared smaller than usual. It was! It was 1/2 oz. Less than advertised. This may not seem like much. However, in the overall scheme of things, it raises the actual cost quite a bit to someone on a tight budget.
Marketside New York Style Cheesecake, 8 oz - I just had this for the first time today. What's not to love; totally yummy. I usually eat very low carb and have my own recipe for cheesecake using pure sucralose, with strawberry topping also with pure sucralose (NOT splenda because it is mostly maltodextrin which the body interprets as SUGAR aka CARBS). The body unfortunately also interprets sugar as sugar aka carb BUT it is a WONDERFUL treat for those times when I don't want to make my own. Delicious. Eating a little at a time. The container says 1 serving is 8oz. Seriously, half a pound is one serving...we do what we do.
I was surprised! This item had good flavor, good texture and really reminded me of a new york cheesecake. I just purchased another piece. I liked it that well! It wasn't overly sweet, had some nice vanilla flavor. The only thing I was not crazy about was the crust. But I don't care much for graham cracker crust anyway. It was also kind of tough. But I really felt like this was five star considering it came from WalMart.
The Marketside New York style cheesecake is very good and is much better than the single slices of New York style that Walmart sells that do not say "Marketside" on the label.
I don't know what or why walmart did this but ever since the packaging changed the flavor did as well. It had a slight artificial sweetener aftertaste that the originals one didn't have. The original one had a thicker crust as well. It's not awful but but good either
Previously bought this cheesecake slice a few times and was always delicious, but this time it tasted off, like maybe old even though the best by date was days away, or not refrigerated properly. Threw out after a few bites, $4 wasted. Guess I could've tried to return but didn't care to go through the bother of driving, parking, waiting in line for a $4 refund.
Why change a good thing? I have been buying this product for years. it was an amazing piece of cheesecake. they changed the crust to an over spiced layer that overpowered everything else. the cheesecake itself had great texture but tasted of nothing, no cheesecake flavor at all. SO disappointed, raise the price don't change the product. Won't be buying this again.
I wouldn't bother. Waste of money. It just doesn't taste like anything. It badly needs vanilla. The crumb crust sucks per usual. They need to stop with the disgusting crust already in general. If you want cheesecake, you will be disappointed.
This has changed. I used to pay the $3.98 for one piece vs. $6.98 for whole 6 inch pie because it was softer and creamier than the whole pie version. However this version was horrible!!!! It was no longer creamy…even worse than the other whole cheesecakes. I won't buy again!
It just tasted cheap not creamy not flavorful the other smaller cheese cake with two pieces is a way much better tasting and better for your money I wouldn't buy again
