my favorite use of these are for my ramen, upon, and egg drop soups. if I could find just arugula I would add those to so many dishes. I used to grow arugula and although I am much older and unable to garden, I still love adding greens to my food because I think it adds a bit of me to the dish no matter what country the dish is from. and this blend is great for a simple salad of tomatoes, green onions, and chunks of your favorite cheese. but with gruyere it is divine.
The salad leaves are tasty, just put the leaves in a safe section of your refrigerator to prevent moisture. I take lettuce out and place it a contain with a lid. Laying paper towel sheets on the top %26 bottom of the lettuce to absorb some moisture. This allows the leaves to remain crispy for 3-5 days. Every salad mix is yummy , but then I love spinach with arugula %26 spring mix best to balance with nuts, fruit, seeds, cheese and dressed with blue agave syrup.
I love this salad but I have noticed the last two or three times I've purchased this particular salad there's way less arugula than there is baby spinach in there I don't mind baby spinach at all but it's not much of a spring mix if it doesn't have spring mix actually in it much so I'd rather be the other way around with a little bit of baby spinach and the rest will be the spring mix with the arugula and so forth.
It's impossible to find this mix of both spinach and arugula. Buying one big container of each is too much money unless it's a BOGO special. This mix is a great base for a healthy salad. I use olive oil with a line for dressing. I I'm single and this mix is perfect for me.
This is a very healthy combination of greens. I use this combination on chicken wraps, of course, salads, and on top of any sandwich I make. Since the combination is washed, you can grab it and put it on anything any kind of sandwich or just a salad.
While very good. It spoils quickly. I remove product and store between paper towels to extend freshness
We buy this a lot of spinach and arugula mix at other stores as well as this one. We often have problems with the freshness of the produce from the St Charles store. It is one of the problems with having groceries delivered and not being able to pick out my own produce.
It strongly depends on the day you're buying, as if its fresh in the counter, then its worth it, but if its old, as in some days, you can see some bags with rotten product inside and the ones organizing the fresh produce area, doesn't bother to clean or get rid of that product. SAME with fruits and other things in this particular area which ironically is the "first" the customers check when entering the supermarket
Normally I would recommend the spinach/arugula mix, but on this purchase, there was virtually no arugula at all, just a few tiny wisps, so the package really was 99% spinach. It was good, but not the combination I have received previously in accordance with the package label. Fortunately I had some home-sprouted arugula I was able to add.
It’s not actually the product it’s the shop for pick up. The Walmart shopper chose the produce expiring in 2 days and already starting to wilt. Do not recommend fresh items shipped for pick up or delivery.
