As one of the dirty dozen this must be purchased organic. You can wash the other kind but the pesticide is in the soil thus in the produce. Save your body the work of detoxing poison. Let the spinach detox what’s already in there while making your skin glow. It’s easy in smoothies. It tastes great without giving that earthy flavor. It’s great as a tuna bed with some cucumbers and tomatoes. Add a green onion garnish and voila gourmet tuna salad.
Since you asked for a review… My spinach was part of an order must have been put in a freezer or stored with a frozen item because my spinach was partially frozen and when it thawed in the fridge, it was soggy and I couldn’t tell if it was spoiled or had freeze damage so I had to throw about 1/3 of it away.
If you purchase in person. This is a great value. CAUTION: If you buy through delivery, it's a hit or miss. Some times the content received is starting to decompose. Sometimes spinach is fresh. For Walmart, do a better job at managing stock in warehouse and on shelves to avoid pickers selecting poor quality produce for deliveries.
Usually good last container had big leaves and big stems. Nothing “baby” about this. Just regular spinach and it didn't last very long. I have my food delivered because of a head injury. Not very fair that they often push substandard produce on the delivery people
I have been ordering fresh spinach for over a year from this Walmart and the last few orders have been poor quality. Is it possible the people are pulling the spinach too early from the coolers. The spinach is wilted and slimy within second day of use. I have some loss after a few days after delivery but never this badly. Maybe look at timing on fresh cooler controlled produce. If pulled and left sitting while preparing rest of delivery or in the vehicle too long making deliveries? Something has changed and the fresh produce is showing it?? I love ordering and receiving my Walmart deliveries. Everything is usually perfect execution of my needs and or wants. Except for my fresh spinach.
It came to me all wilted and really wet, all stuck together. Because it was so wet, the container looked like it was half full. Not happy with the condition of my spinach. I buy this all the time from Walmart, now I have to rethink this and find another market.
I buy this product about every 10 days because I go through it making my shakes. The new packing is horrible. Makes the spinach very saggy within just a few days I’ve even wrapped in paper towels trying to make a difference, but it just doesn’t last as long and they should go back to the old packing
Okay. I have learned that when I get delivery from Walmart not to order produce that was not pre-package, because the quality was always lacking. Walmart is not known for their great produce...just for being cheap. However, I thought the Grocery pickers that work for Walmart would know how to read a Best If Used By date.. particularly if the date was 2 days ago. So now I know not to order any produce from Walmart for delivery. I have discovered that I should not order ANYTHING fresh like produce or meat from Walmart. Walmart does not throw away bad or damaged produce. They do not sort out old produce like regular grocery stores. However in this situation, they just didn't read or care.
It’s a shame you can’t trust the shoppers to not pick a package of spinach that’s soaking wet and already spoiling. Throwing it away makes much more sense than asking me to return green waste. I get free pick up for returns, but why pay an employee to waste gas and time and to add to greenhouse gases.
This was terrible and full of water. The whole entire container was wilted and inedible. This is not the first time someone has picked the worst one in the batch. I would expect a refund for this item. Groceries are expensive and therefore whomever is picking the product needs to be courteous and diligent when doing so.
