I do not like coleslaw at all. Taste and texture makes my jaw clench and my throat to close. When a recipe calls for coleslaw, I substitute it with broccoli slaw. If I choose to I cal remove the few pieces of cabbage, or I leave them and don’t really notice it. LOVE THIS SLAW!!
I used the Marketside Organic Fresh Broccoli Slaw as an addition to my other salad greens. It was delicious especially with iceberg lettuce. The slaw added a great crunch, flavors and texture to y salad. This slaw is great added to stir fry or other vegetables. It is a versatile, tasty and healthy way to get more veggies in to your daily diet. This slaw added convenience because the vegetables are all ready peeled, sliced and mixed.
Normally I like this product but what was delivered looked nasty. Overly wet and discolored. Whoever did the picking should have taken a better look. I tossed it in th trash.
Had this delivered Saturday to be used for her lunches Monday -Thursday. Unfortunately, the date expired Monday. I realized the people filling my order would use the oldest dates so I decided I couldn't order anything "fresh" to be delivered if I wanted to be sure it would be actually fresh. The following week I went to the store myself on Sunday so I could pick the freshest ones for the week. Sadly the best ones were only a day or two from expiration. I looked at other so called "fresh" produce any many were the same or there was no date at all. Tried to buy some fresh organic chicken to cook through the week but none of it was good for more than a couple of days. I've given up on buying anything "fresh" at this store. I still get canned or frozen as well as paper goods and a few other items delivered but "fresh" things I buy elsewhere so I have a week to use it instead of a day or two.
The bag of broccoli slaw I received from a delivery order was almost out of date. When I went to open the bag to use it was already going bad and started smelling of sauerkraut. Ty ought cooking it would help but finally threw it out. I won’t be purchasing this item from Walmart anymore.
I could tell as soon as I saw this very sad bag of broccoli slaw (which is something I love and have had countless times) that it was old bc the little pieces looked slimy and mushy, like they were deteriorating. I checked the expiration date and it was expired by days, which really should have not happened. I can see the shopper not checking the expiration date on every perishable item but bc it was so obvious by looking at it that it was old, that made it what I consider a pretty bad mistake. The only thing I can say in defense of this mistake is that I’m super familiar with broccoli slaw and so it was easy for me to notice it was too old to consume but perhaps someone who wasn’t familiar with it wouldn’t have noticed it didn’t look right.
I used to love this stuff, and bought it all the time. Something happened a couple months ago. I think they changed the supplier, because the cut of the broccoli is way different, and nearly everytime now, it is already decomposing when they have delivered it. We're talking wet, soggy, soft, discolored broccoli. They need to get a better supplier before I'll consider ordering this again.
I'm really disappointed in this product. I ordered groceries online and bought this broccoli slaw to make burritos for dinner. When my brother picked up the groceries, I gagged when I opened the bag with this product in it. I can't even cook it to eat because of the stench of rotten broccoli! The contents of the entire bag were bleached red because of the rotten cabbage and the smell was unbearable. Never again.
This bag was already bad. Super slimy and very odiferous!! 🤨😲 You really need to watch it when you buy for pick up, the shoppers don’t seem to care about the quality.
Two bags of slaw are sour/bad. How do I take a photo of sour slaw cabbage? It smells sour. Cabbage is breaking down. Purple cabbage has lost its color.
