I was skeptical that organic would make much of a difference, but after trying this I'm not going back. The flavor is noticeably richer and cleaner — whether I'm making burgers, tacos, or a simple meat sauce, everything just tastes better. The texture is great too — it browns evenly and isn't watery like some conventional ground beef can be. Knowing it's free of hormones and antibiotics is a bonus. Worth every penny.
This product is really excellent. These days to find hamburger that doesn't taste like liver is something sent from heaven. The hamburger was tender when it was cooked and the taste is far better than any other hamburger that I have tasted. Thanks again for a product that is a very high-quality and Consistency.
Marketside Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef, 85% Lean/15% is healthier than other ground beef because it is grassfed, so I always purchase this and am never disappointed. The flavor is delicious, the texture is perfect, and it doesn't have any odd rancid smell like some other ground beef brands as you're cooking it, it smells clean and healthy. The price is very good for the quality of meat you are getting.
For 100% grass-fed beef (which is far healthier than standard beef, but I'm not a doctor so do your due research), you can't beat Walmart's price here. I live in one of the largest metros in the the country and have multiple grocery delivery subscriptions, so I compare prices constantly. I'm really loving the Marketside brand and its healthier protein options.
I know grass-fed organic beef costs more, but honestly I can taste the difference. The protein flavor tastes cleaner and richer to me compared to some regular ground beef, and it cooks up well without a lot of grease. I've used this for tacos, spaghetti, burgers, chili, and even mixed into mac and cheese with vegetables for an easy meal. It stays juicy if you cook it right and has a really good texture. I also like knowing it's grass-fed and organic with no added hormones or antibiotics. Yes, it's more expensive than regular ground beef, but for healthier meat and better quality I personally think it's worth the extra cost. This has become one of my staple freezer items to keep on hand for quick meals.
Great flavor, lower fat substitute for the “trays” %26 “rolls” of ground beef. Same price as the ground chuck but still was a lower fat ratio. Definitely worth the money while being a good value as well. We used it for meat loaf and while it has a lot less fat my husband learned the bread trick. Put sandwich bread slices in a single layer in pan bottom. Put uncooked meatloaf on bread. Bake as usual , let sit for 2-5 minutes after baking. Level bread in pan and eat desired amt from off the bread. If reheating for leftovers, cont leaving bread with meat.
I like this hamburger. I'm use to a lesser quality of meat and noticed immediately the taste difference. The grass fed hamburger has a stronger taste which I don't mind. I prefer to add seasoning and eat the better quality and healthier meat. There is little to know grease when it cooks to drain and discard! As long as we can afford it, I'll order this grass fed hamburger every time in the future!
I am absolutely appalled. I did a pickup order on 5/18 which is the expiration date of this meat. Day of meat is always 50% off. I should have been given a discount or picked meat that I could use during the week versus within hours of my pickup. Did I mention my pickup window was at dinner time?!?!? I already had our dinner cooking so this was unusable and just, frankly, stealing my family's money to throw away your trash. Flat out unacceptable.
I love how Walmart just let's you review what you bought instead of what they do. I picked up this meat on 5/13/26 to m alke a dish for friends. The meat expired on 5/13/26. As expensive as meat is, paw ng off meat in a pickup order that is expiring that day is totally unacceptable. I should have three days with meat purchases.
picked up my order 5/17, got it home only to find the good thru date showed meat had expired 5/10. This is second time I bought bad meat from Walmart, Was chicken last time, exprired date was good but chicken when opened was putrid. No more meat from Wal-Mart.
