I was skeptical that organic would make much of a difference, but after trying this I'm not going back. The flavor is noticeably richer and cleaner — whether I'm making burgers, tacos, or a simple meat sauce, everything just tastes better. The texture is great too — it browns evenly and isn't watery like some conventional ground beef can be. Knowing it's free of hormones and antibiotics is a bonus. Worth every penny.
My favorite ground beef! I think it's a good price for organic compared to other stores. And unfortunately ground beef is something I really want to be organic to feel safer eating it. I love this little square package and it's super easy to open. This is the only beef I buy now and I keep it stocked up in mh freezer!
I made a meatloaf with this stuff and it was fantastic. Considerable shrinkage when the fat and water are baked out of it, but isn't that the stuff that makes things taste so good? This is 85/15, which I think is a good blend of fat throughout the ground beef. You could go 90/10 but you lose some flavor doing that. This is good stuff and not overpriced.
Would repurchase. When these go on sale they can be cheaper than conventional ground beef. I don't notice a huge difference between the organic ground beef and conventional, but I've also never really thought too hard about it. Is it really better for my family or better for the cows, I don't know, but it's not that much more expensive when considering pound for pound so I buy it and maybe feel a little better about the purchase
I usually purchase hamburger meat from the local butcher because the quality is so much better. However I do occasionally buy hamburger from Walmart out of convenience. I decided to try the grass fed ground beef and the difference is incredible. It's just like the meat I get from the butchers. You can touch it without your hands feeling greasy and it 80/20! It cooks up without needing to be drained at all. It's fresh and just cleaner all around. I will continue to buy this product! The only difference is cost. My butcher charges $5 a pound. This is more than $7. So that's a bummer but honestly it's not costly as the meat from Meijer and certainly less than the fortune they want for meat at Family Fare.
Marketside Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef, 85% Lean/15% is healthier than other ground beef because it is grassfed, so I always purchase this and am never disappointed. The flavor is delicious, the texture is perfect, and it doesn't have any odd rancid smell like some other ground beef brands as you're cooking it, it smells clean and healthy. The price is very good for the quality of meat you are getting.
I like this beef. Thinking grass fed makes it better and it tastes fine, but to be truthful. I am not a scientist. judging by what I see on YouTube about alot of food in America. A person is probably smart to proceed with caution. They probably have dye in the meat to make it more red. Other than that it's probably fine. I hope. It tastes fine in my food, but stuff can taste fine and not be truly good for you. I'm hoping that's not the case with this product and that's why I keep buying it.
We've switched over to this meat, the taste is cleaner, the size is perfect for either 4 good size burgers or even more if you make them sliders. Good source of protein, goes great with any kind of seasoning and it's super convenient. I also notice that when you freeze it retains 100 percent of the color and the taste doesn't change after you defrost it.
This product is really excellent. These days to find hamburger that doesn't taste like liver is something sent from heaven. The hamburger was tender when it was cooked and the taste is far better than any other hamburger that I have tasted. Thanks again for a product that is a very high-quality and Consistency.
Unlike other brands of "organic" ground beef, the fat content is consistent from package to package. Meat grind is good. I like that I can just stack these square packages in the freezer. Meat is grown and finished in the USA, which is preferable to most brands, unlike those that come from foreign countries.
