Add them to your meals

QueenofArts October 4, 2025

Looking for an easy way to add vegetables to your meals. Just purchase a bag of this cut it finer than the packaging and no one will know it is kale. It is a great vegetable to consume. You can also add some lemon juice and butter and sauté it for a tasty side dish. This item has always been fresh when I purchased it. It also freezes well if you are not able to use the entire bag timely.

I like this kale!

Cindy November 20, 2025

The kale arrived fresh, vibrant and crispy. I use it primarily in my daily smoothies. However, in salads, the curly shape of the leaves holds my thousand island dressing perfectly and makes every bite flavorful. Adding cheddar and bacon to kale salad makes it really taste good! I will peel away any super thick stems to reduce bitterness. Personally, I would not pair kale with eggs but I know some people who toss it in omelets the same way as spinach.

This Kale Gets an A on its Report Card! :)

Anonymous January 26, 2026

I love the quality of this kale! Kale used to be something I joked I'd never eat, no matter how much I wanted to lose weight. Up until then, I think I'd only tried it once and it was absolutely horrific. But then I learned a little about kale and found this PREWASHED, absolutely deliciously BITE-SIZED bag of kale, and it was a match made in Heaven! ...I realized Kale wasn't as bad as I'd made it out to be once I read that it was actually in salad kits I loved. By adding lemon juice (or you can use your favorite acidic juice--grapefruit is another good choice) and marinating the kale a bit, you can make it tender. I also recommend using a bit of vinegar to marinate it. Then you can sear it in a skillet with a little butter or olive oil for a couple minutes. How much you sear depends on how soft you want it to be. With my stomach issues with veggies (I have IBS), I actually find making veggies soft helps a lot. I usually cook it at least 4-5 minutes, but that would be too much for most folk, probably. It tastes like delicious cooked spinach to me. This is a very easy choice to throw into a salad mix, or something you're baking or cooking on the stove. You can also look up the recipe for 'kale chips'--that's a surprisingly neat way to enjoy your veggies, too!!!

BE AWARE: NOT prewashed and ready to use!

spudchick December 30, 2025

Seemed moderately fresh and I did not find bugs in mine as some others have mentioned, but I have never bought cut bagged kale like this that wasn't already washed and ready to use (label says wash before using). Having it already cut down makes that much more difficult! I'm lucky that our kitchen sink is deep and single-bowl, but it was still a huge pain and wasted a lot of time, energy and water, setting back my schedule considerably. This is the first time I've ordered it from Walmart, and I placed a delivery order from there because we've been sick and they are for some reason the only place that carries some of the canned soups %26 other things we like when we're not well. I bought three bags of this stuff to prepare for the new year's eve meal. I just hope I got it clean enough and rinsed all the vegetable wash out, and that it doesn't make anybody sick. If I knew I'd have to wash it myself I'd have gotten big bundles of kale leaves.

Expired and spoiled. No refund

Shannon June 17, 2024

I used online pickup. This was expired, and you could see through the bag that it was brown and was already bad. In order to get a refund I would have to get back out of my house, drive back to the store, and return it. I’d spend more money on the fuel used driving to the store and back then I’d get for my return.

Rotten Kale

Barbara November 29, 2025

My delivery on 11/29/25 was rotten and smelled like ammonia🤢My rabbit didn't think that was very nice. Your shoppers for deliveries must read the expiration dates. The expiration date for the kale was on 11/26/25. Seniors that can't go to the grocery stores, should receive, at the least unexpired food.

Bad Kale

james December 31, 2025

Both bags of Kale was dated best if used before 12-27-25. Both bags were sweating inside and the kale is turning brown. How does anybody think it's ok to give a customer out dated food. Why is this product or any other product dated this far back still on the sales floor.

Be mindful on ordering produce

Damon January 10, 2026

I don't know what it is, but every time I order produce, I always get the oldest or about to be expired produce. I have multiple times I've had to call and ask for a refund or to have a new one shipped. It's almost like the people who pick look for the creepiest produce. So just be mindful ordering produce.

Bugs

Kimberly September 12, 2025

Found multiple bugs in my bag. After I knew what to look for I started easily seeing more and more. In 1/4th of the bag I found 3 - I refused to look through the rest and threw the bag away. Bugs looked like pests that were a yellow very light brown color - stuck to the leaves like they were dead. They were most definitely pests. Very clearly.

Sold expired item with a bug. 2 for one.

anonymous July 23, 2025

Wish I could give it a better review but I ordered it on 7/22 and when opened had brown stems on pieces and brown leaves. Expired on 7/17. Walmart did refund my money so all okay in the then. I cannot make it up but I also found a black iridescent beetle in the bag.
