Great organic potatoes , but expensive!

Linda April 9, 2026

I was a little concerned that the potatoes were gonna be old and have lots of roots growing on them, but actually, they were very fresh and very tasty and clean. The only thing I can say is that they were kind of small but for Organic I guess that’s normal most of the time they tasted very good. I peeled them and then boiled them to make some mashed potatoes, but I ate them in their 1 inch chunks with a little butter and they were delicious.!

Buyer beware!

David August 14, 2025

We ordered these for a home delivery and went to use them about 4 days later. We pulled them out of the pantry to make potato salad. That’s when we discovered they were soft, had lots of eyes grown on them (indicating they were OLD) and had deep bad spots all through them. We ended up throwing them away. Very disappointed!

Rotten Potatoes

Jon June 6, 2025

Almost all the potatoes were sprouted. A few were oozing and had mold. Broken moldy sprouts that had broken off were in the bottom of the bag. Why didn't the order filler notice this when they got it off the shelf??

Smelly awful potatoes!

Khathrinah June 7, 2025

These stunk so bad it was obnoxious. Then when I peeled them there was brown swirls in every potatoe. Threw them out. DO NOT BUY, they are NOT ORGANIC.

Very poor quality

WalmartShopper April 24, 2026

These potatoes are the size of cherry tomatoes. Every single potato in the bag is this size. They are difficult to peel. There are also many black spots on them that have to be cut away. There isn’t one that could be used for baking. The price is 2 dollars a bag higher than other stores I sometimes can shop at for higher quality, normal sized potatoes. This is not a one time problem but happens repeatedly. Home delivery is my only option for shopping at the current time and my only option for organic potatoes. The russet potatoes are exactly the same. Walmart must purchase these potatoes for next to nothing because I don’t believe other stores would ever sell these, other than as baby potatoes perhaps, which these were not.

only one (1) potato was good and it was a small one. All the rest had much skin damage: cuts all around, bad spots, even halfway through the potatoes, A few were green inside (I'm not talking about "unripe," produce, but the green is Solanine, caused by too much sunlight or Fluorescent lite, producing a toxin). Your Purchaser needs to do a better job of inspecting and reject the product, or greatly reduce the cost, because much if the product will need to be cut off and thrown away. The Shoppers may not be able to SEE the trouble with the potatoes (until after purchase), so it gies back to the People responsible for buying the produce to be sold at your store. This problem inconvenienced me greatly on Chrustmas day. i will still prefer buying Organic produce, socheck your stock better.

disgusting potatoes

Jamie January 15, 2026

have never had an issue with pickup orders until tonight, 1/15/26 when I got home and my potatoes were not just soft, but completely rotten....i could understand maybe 1 or 2 potatoes that were starting to get soft but this is unreal and completely unacceptable. the fa t that these were still even on the shelf is mind boggling.

Disgusting

Angela June 2, 2026

I know it was just the food picker who picked these potatoes for my delivery order. But who sends anyone totally rotten food. WalMart did give me a refund promptly, which I do want to say I appreciate. But these potatoes were delivered black, totally covered in mold and so soft a finger went straight into them. Like if your shopping for someone else you should pick the food that you'd buy for yourself. I am visually impaired, so I can't drive. I only get to the store myself on occasion, so I do mostly delivery. I hardly ever, about 98% of the time never have any issues. But this was so unacceptable for the person who shopped this order. Again I appreciate WalMart making it right and giving me my money back.

delivery needs to be more discerning in selection

Diana August 27, 2025

The last 2 times I've ordered red potatoes have been problematic; the 1st were rotten and had a horrible rotten smell, and the second, delivered this week are very old potatoes with age areas having to be cut off in order to use. What is wrong with your folks who fulfill these orders? Can't they use their sensory to notice a bad/rotten item prior to delivering?????
