Beyond Disgusted!!

Andrea February 1, 2026

If I could rate this a 0, I would! I am done buying any produce from Walmart. You can clearly see the expiration date is not even close, also it states that it has been washed and is ready for use. Look at the slimy, nasty, disgusting, dirty, and downright disturbing lettuce I received! I don’t even want to get into the smell! It’s horrid, and I am absolutely appalled at the quality of this product! This is the salad that I feed to my house rabbit twice a day, however, I wouldn’t feed this to my worst enemy, let alone, my sweet little bunny! That’s the problem with all these major corporations, they’ve gotten so big that they don’t care anymore, because they don’t have to. If they lose my business, it won’t hurt them! I think I’d rather drive 40 miles out of town to go to a ma and pa grocery store, who does still care! Shame on you, Walmart! I am beyond disgusted with you! You can see from the photos that I have included that this is clearly not edible. And you say it was washed? I say it most definitely was NOT!!! Look at that disgusting water after putting it through my salad spinner! Even though I know you don’t care, I will be shopping elsewhere from now on!

Terrible produce, always.

Gina January 30, 2026

This salad mix was rotten when it was delivered. I believe from current and past experience that the pickers who shop for delivery customers are trained to choose the produce items that are expired or close to expiration. This happens every single time I get a delivery that includes produce.

Love to buy this every time I’m in the store. But the last 3 times I’ve ordered it for pickup, the lettuce has been soggy and stinky the minute we open it up. Not sure why it’s great when I get it from the store but nasty every time I order it for pickup. Maybe they store it at too cold of a temp and freeze it while it’s waiting for pickup, causing it to thaw and become soggy? I can’t figure it out but I’m hoping they get it sorted so I can get my favorite greens on pickup.

Very Very DISAPPOINTED.

David November 18, 2025

I'm VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED with this item. I was sent an outdated item. This package of lettuce had a "BEST IF USED BY" date of Nov. 16, 2025. This item was delivered to me yesterday, 11/18/2025. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the expiration date before opening the container. The lettuce on top was ok, but the bottom part was all WILTED. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I have ordered this item many times, and this has never happened before. This is also a HEALTH HAZARD. I'm praying no one in my family gets sick from eating this item. I'm requesting an IMMEDIATE REFUND FOR THIS ITEM. I will post the expiration date photos.

The expiration date was the date of the delivery. Why are Walmart shopper checking dates? The salad mix was supposed to be a mixed of greens and spinach but mine was all spinach. Not sure if I'll buy this brand again. Ingredients were not as displayed on box.

I buy this weekly and this week i did a grocery pick up and the lettuce expired in two days. The lettuce was already slimy and wilted. Walmart wants me to bring the lettuce all the way back to the store for a refund. I live over 30 mins away. Ridiculous!

Spring mix and spinach salad in clam container

TaraBear October 22, 2025

I purchased the Spring Mix lettuce and spinach mix twice this week and in both orders, the product is almost entirely spinach. In the first order, there are 6 small pieces of spring lettuce with all of the remaining product being spinach. Both clam shell containers are clearly marked that it is Spring Mix and Spinach. Quality control issue? I wanted a good mix of both lettuce and spinach for my recipe needs.

Please ask shoppers to do a better job selecting

Sandra January 31, 2026

Most of the time this is one of my favorite salads, but twice in a row now it's been spoiled upon delivery. Upon opening the smell is obvious, and there are spoiled leaves decomposing throughout the container. I called Walmart and they said the only way I can notify the store is to either return it physically to the store (defeats the purpose of having groceries delivered!) or write a review here, so I opted for the latter. They're either storing it improperly or giving me the oldest item on the shelf, but I am frustrated at having to toss this in the garbage two weeks in a row.

Wooden pallet piece found in the salad mix

Rachel September 9, 2025

I opened this salad mix to make my lunch today and found a piece of wood that appears to be from a wooden pallet or something that had broken off and been packed in. This is actually the second time that this salad mix has had non-salad contamination. A little less than a year ago, I found a broken tool/piece of metal that has gotten mixed in and packaged. I didn’t think to report it then, but finding non salad broken off and contaminating the packaged food product within a year of the first time it happened might be bad luck on my end, but it is a bit concerning and gross. Maybe I have bad luck, but it makes me wonder if the equipment processing and packing the salad mix needs to be inspected.

I buy Spring Mix 3-4 times a week. I buy it for the spring mix leaves- not spinach. Matter of fact - you offer another product called Spring Mix with Spinach. But is the spring mix alone just spring mix? No- it has spinach. So I have to pick it out- and then I have 1/2 of the $4.98 worth of leaves I started with. It’s a freaking rip off. Spinach is not even listed in the “ingredients” of Spring Mix. Can’t you get it right? Apparently not bc I have complained over and over.
