Instead of paying $7 for a healthy alternative at a fast food restaurant I love the wide selection of ready-made salads at Walmart. It was fresh and very satisfying. I usually buy two or three for lunch or dinner.
This salad is delicious. The lettuce was crisp and fresh as well as all of the ingredients. It was filling and lasted me all afternoon. I took it to work for lunch. The dressing was yummy too.
This is what I would expect to pay $8-$10 for at a restaurant. A couple of the tomatoes were a bit past prime but still good. Overall the salad was great. If you are grabbing it for lunch at work, make sure you see a fork inside. They don't always have one in there - which is my only complaint. Plenty of salad for this 250+ lb. guy for lunch.
This is a great lunch option! I find you have to make sure it looks fresh before you choose your salad to purchase, but it's a large portion that leaves you satisfied for lunch (or dinner) without feeling like you ate something heavy! Quick and easy lunch option!
This salad was not as good as the cobb salad I got a few weeks ago. The lettuce was older and limp. I like ice burg lettuce for my salads and was disappointed that this was not that. But this could have no been a 1 time fluke and I will definitely try it again.
It's hit and miss with these salads. Sometimes there are whole hearts of lettuce and cabbage inside, or not enough toppings, or the chicken might be grissly... but sometimes they're pretty good! I usually split one with my husband. There's way too much lettuce for just one person. I waste a lot if I eat it by myself.
The lettuce is cut in such big pieces it makes eating the bites difficult. But it is one of the best salad, lots of ingredients, plenty of dressing. Just need a knife for the large pieces of lettuce.
I found the Cobb salad to be high in greens, and not so much in other ingredients. Dressing is fresh. Lots of different flavors to tempt your tastebuds.
I really dislike giving this one star but the Marketside Salads in the Walmarts by me in West Ky, are awful. They place the stalks in them. I don't eat lettuce stalks. Instead of nice fresh chopped lettuce, it is black leafy lettuce and green stalks, almost no green fresh lettuce at all. So I am not sure if it is only the Walmarts in my location or if it is the same every where. Today I gave it another try and they have added more plastic with an arrangement on top. I got home and pick out the stalks to trash. Ate some of it and then discover a plastic bag at the bottom of it, I then threw it all in the garbage. This is the Princeton Ky Walmart, Hanson Ky Walmart, Paducah Ky Walmart. All three of those have awful Marketside salads. I do wish they would carry more of the Taylor salads.
I normally enjoy these salads very much. The convenience and the low cost and health aspect as compared to fast food has always had me coming back for more. Regretfully, I just yesterday purchased multiple salads for my husband and I for this week's lunches. I can only imagine that the rest of the salad's are just as bad as this one. I just love the marketing strategy of putting the freshest lovely greens on top to cover up the horrible rusty, bitter stems that made up about 75% of this salad. Just noticed the beautiful salad picture used in the description. That is most definitely not what I have ever found on the shelves. Not sure I'll get this bitter taste out of my mouth and memory anytime soon. Tried to upload a pic but I keep receiving error messages.
