It's really good! It has a nice texture, firm noodles that can withstand a little baking, very creamy. Here's what I do to make it over the top. Remove it from the container and put in a small baking dish. Freshly Shred some medium cheddar and mix it in. Sprinkle in a little garlic power, onion powder (just a little) and smoked paprika, put more freshly shredded cheese on top and bake it until the cheese is lightly browned on top. YUM!
soooo much faster than making the box mac n cheese! no pots, no clean up, and it tastes like restaurant mac n cheese, throw in some hotdogs and its a meal with no clean up on days your in a rush or too tired from the rush! we have it at least once a week
Surprisingly good mac and cheese, real cheese and butter in the sauce, you can taste the difference! I heated mine in the microwave, intending to eat only a quarter or third of the tray, could not stop! Ended up eating 2/3, and had the rest for breakfast! Will buy again.
This macaroni is awesome in my opinion! No, it's not like eating macaroni at Chick-fil-A! But to come home, pop it from the fridge to the microwave. Cook for three minutes. Take the lid off, one more minute cook one minute sit you can't go wrong with something like that for dinner especially with kids!!! Great prices on all of their items that are in the section of the store!
This is the macaroni you're looking for when you need something convenient. Creamy, saucy, and better seasoned than the rest, and far less in cost! Is it perfect? No. It's not your family's recipe, but you wouldn't be buying it if you wanted grandmas recipe. It's gonna hit the spot along side chicken tendies and jojos though!
I did a side by side comparison with Bob Evan's original Mac and cheese and found that the Marketside was so much cheesier and much creamier than Bob Evan's. The noodles didn't feel mushy and it was really good for a heat and eat product. Would be easy to add a few ingredients to customise with bacon, broccoli, spinach, etc and great as is for a side dish. Will definitely be purchasing again to have on hand for a quick side.
Ok, so the first time I ate this, I was VERY disappointed. No flavor. Kind of a goopy mess. However, the second time, I added salt and it made a world of difference. Third time, I added chopped up bacon to it while it was heating. Took it to a whole new level. In short, adding salt and bacon is what it needed. Very much! On it's own, it's very bland.
Flavor and texture is far inferior to a typical low cost box of mac %26 cheese. Disappointing that WalMart labels this under Marketside because I've lost trust in the Marketside brand. Other Marketside items are superior (except a soup I had) so I'm thinking WalMart needs to hire a better Chef to develop the ready made items.
i guess it is store mac%26 cheese. I expected much much better for the price I paid. Clumps of pasty goo with a few hard bits is CRAP. I am very upset as this is what i chose as my LONELY-ONLY Thanksgiving bc it costs too much to order a meal %26 i cannot stand up long enough to make mac %26 cheese. i chose this. id rather have the money %26 go without, bc this did add calories bit nothing else %26 i regret wasting the calories. so, no thanksgiving , i don't know why i pay a monthly subscription to walmart.
This used to be a good buy because it had clean ingredients at a reasonable price. I just bought another and realized the ingredients on the box are different from the ingredients on the Walmart app. Now, it has hydrogenated cottonseed oil. Terrible.
