We enjoyed the taste and the affordability. We wished there had been more chicken, but it was delicious. I have a sensitive stomach and it was a tad spicy. Still very good. We will be ordering more.
This meal is delicious!. i wish it had a little more chicken. The orange sauce is fantastic! I feel this is better than any Chinese Buffet!! its very fresh! I will recommend this to everyone! Great job Walmart ! Thank you! . Denise!
I think this was good for a quick and simple meal, however I felt like the texture needed some work. The rice was a little too mushy for an orange chicken dish, and I feel like the chicken needed something to help. it keep a little bit more of a crispier texture with the sauce but for a microwave dish I'm not sure how much could be changed.
The rice and the sauce were very good, but the chicken was chewy, and it looked like it was not very nice pieces. Couple of them look like they were taken too close to the bone where it was attached to the bone and one looked like it was very stringy. the flavor wasn't bad, but I don't recommend the chicken at all. I think whoever cut up the chicken could've been a little bit more discriminating about what was served.
For six dollars, one would expect a reasonable amount of protein. The only other ingredient is rice, after all, and only $0.50 worth of it at best. Unfortunately there are only four or five bites of chicken, maybe 4-5oz worth. For the same price, the Innovasian frozen chicken meals come with 18oz of chicken, and while it's a little less convenient it's far more worth the money.
The best thing about this item was the paper bowl...The rice looked and tasted like bits of styrofoam (no green onions) and there were 3 tiny chunks of chicken in 3 of the 4 "meals" I bought and the 4th one had 4 small chunks. Maybe if the chicken or rice had been tasty, I would have been ok, but neither was the case....I PAID $5.92 each bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am telling you the best part of this was the bowl. It is a good thing I had a couple of boxes of frozen orange chicken, (which was the same price for 18 oz of really tasty orange chicken-just chicken) or we would have all gone hungry. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
I really wanted to like this cause I thought it would make a great lunch and I've liked market side chicken before but it came with six little pieces of chicken that just became soggy mush when you microwave them, but they're with the sauce so it's not like you can air fry them or anything. The rice got mushy too. The flavor is fine but for $6.50 is CRAZZYYY. If it was like $2.50 it might be worth it.
if I could give zero Stars I'll give it a 0.5. the rice is packaged in a sealed bag. I didn't have a funky smell and the texture is nice. the meat ratio to Rice is a fail and heating it past 5 minutes to a enjoyable temperature makes parts of the chicken not chewable. the price point of $6.54 is not worth the buy. just being real.
I know it says new item and sometimes new items need some reworking but man is it bad don’t buy this. Make them. Take it off the shelves and try again because other grocery stores like Winco and Vons do it better for less
Just GROSS. It IS edible but just dont. It is definitely NOT worth 6 bucks. It is basiclly dollar store orange chicken and rice in a toddlers portions size. If you want this, save 5 bucks and buy it at your local dollar store. OR most to-go chinese olaces hace lunch specials for 6 bucks!
