I got this bread to make sandwiches with and it is great for that. However, there are two things that I would say are important to know if you buy this. First, I found that I had to bake it about twice as long as it said so that it got crispy enough on the outside like it’s supposed to be. Second, it’s very important that you let this bread cool completely before you try to eat it. If you don’t, the texture is not going to be good and it won’t cut properly.
When you’re craving Italianish style meal, or appetizers, quickly. Some slices of this good focaccia some tomato and mozzarella, maybe olive, olive oil and provolone ‘salad’ you have a great treat. Freezes well, and herbs are not overpowering.
Tomato mozzarella panini? Check. Ham and swiss? Check. Grandma's turkey sandwich? Check! You have to slice this in quarters and half it yourself but who cares?! Its DELICIOUS and elevates your sack lunch from a sad sandwich to something you'd buy at a cafe for like $20. BLT with avocado? oh yeah. slices of pastrami and your choice of cheese toasted to perfection? OH YEAH BABY!!
I haven't tried this yet, but I am so glad I was able to get one of the focaccia breads because the tomato and herb focaccia bread was sold out. I will be having six slices of the focaccia bread, one each day for six days with soup. This focaccia bread is in my freezer right now, and when I began to have a craving for focaccia bread I am going to have a slice of this focaccia bread with my soup. Now some might try this focaccia bread with cinnamon, or even avocado, but I am going to keep it plain. Thank you, Walmart.
This focaccia bread is awesome. I use it instead of a bagel with lox and cream cheese and it’s fantastic..
I love this bread even though it's a bit pricey for me. Very versatile, good alone, with pasta or a bit of sauce or pesto, nice rosemary flavor! This is my guilty pleasure!
I continue to buy this product for medical reasons. It is made with rye and malted barley sourdough starter and is good for stomach problems. If you want it just for a good bread to have for a meal, it would be very good for that.
Really enjoy this. Tastes so good, I followed the baking instructions and it comes out really good. Sometimes I let it bake longer for a crispier outer crust. Texture is really good, and the flavors mix really well with the toasted crust.
Weird bland flour taste not what it should be. It should have a tangy fermented flavor and that was missing. Herb flavor was very weak like they were stale. You could see there was plenty of rosemary just no flavor. Texture was way off this was like a slab of wood not a loaf of bread. Seems like it sat to long in the freezer, used poor quality ingredients or both. Not worth the cost.
I love rosemary and I usually love focaccia bread if it's fresh. I bought this rosemary focaccia bread because it had good reviews. Unfortunately it's extremely dry so it's definitely not fresh or even close to fresh. I could taste the rosemary so I believe if it had been fresh I might have liked it. The small slice of it I tried to eat was hard to swallow because it was so dry. It's a bummer because I really wanted to like this bread. I won't be buy it again.
