I cooked all of it at once. The first (small) piece I ate was delightful, after that they tasted a bit "fishy". I checked them with a meat thermometer, but maybe I messed that up and should have cooked them longer. I'm going to buy them again and see if it was me. :/ No pic cuz I'm lazy. They looked yummy before and (especially) after. :)
i have either greatly liked or loved rainbow trout since i was an very young child. it has an great taste, smell, aroma and its very healthly for everyone to eat.v
The fish was good and value for money was another good thing! My husband loves it, it tasted fresh! My only problem was not with the fish but how the delivered it! It was placed outside my front door in a plastic grocery bag, that's it, fish was warm, no dry ice!!!
Price swapping going on from ordering to delivery just be careful. I was charged $7.10 and $4.88. But the price on fish clearly says $5.87. I'm so tired of this happening with many orders!!! I hate feeling like I have to prove myself or be hassled or denied a refund for other peoples mistakes. I haven't opened them I can only pray that they are fresh and not spoiled.
the delivery person set my order in the back of someone else's pickup in my driveway and by the time I figured out where it was, the trout fillets thawed out and spoiled. every other order has always been dropped off at my door. please advise this delivery person to do as the instructions say
This fish was on sale and now I know why….the expiration date is TODAY. The delivery driver came at 5:00pm. The vacuum pack shows all kinds of liquid around the fish. Even though sealed, my whole refrigerator SMELLS of rotting fish. DISGUSTING. How in the heck did a Walmart grocery store “picker” choose raw fresh fish that expired TODAY? Delivered at 5 today…the plan was not to eat it today, so if we ate it tomorrow, it would have been past expired. But, from the smell of it…we wouldn't eat it either day. Do better Walmart! You are slowly losing my business.
I lov3 trout especially fresh filets. Took a chance with this as price was not bad. When It was delivered the fish was foul smelling and slimy . Guess the c fact the expiration days was three days ago. And their stupid return policy you must return it to the store even though I paid for the groceries to be delivered. If I could go to the store, I would not have them delivered. SENSELESS BUSINESS PRACTICES
Delivered me rotten fish and then wanted me to return it to store. This is not the first time they've delivered rotten items . Money down the drain. I'm not going to waste my time and gas to return an expired product. Walmart needs to do better quality control on their items.
Terrible, just terrible. We purchased this in the tilapia, and both of them are flavorless and have the texture of frog legs. I kept having to chew and chew and chew which is not normal with fish. I've never had a fish that does not flake and melt in your mouth. And, I've eaten tilapia before and it had some flavor, I know, tilapia isn't the most flavorful fish, and it's was an actual fish meat texture. All in all, I will never buy fish from Walmart again. Whole Foods will get my money. At least at Whole Foods you can choose from different companies instead of just one like Walmart has.
what I dislike about it is that it was cheaper because of the expiration date. it was dated to use on the day I got it. didn't want to use it today. it didn't smell pleasant. in my opinion it should not have been sold.
