Tuna tastes great and is quick and easy to cook. Its so healthy too. I love these two- to -a -pack, flash frozen tuna portions To prepare, all I really need is a pan. tongs or a spatula and a dash of salt. I like to sear both sides. not cooking it all of the way through just like they do in fancy restaurants . Yummy !
This was the first time I had purchased fish from Walmart. I was pleasantly surprised, tuna steaks were awesome, I will be buying fish at Walmart now. thank you
Decent enough size for fresh Ahi Trina Steaks, Trriyake glaze I suggest is Merman’s Teriyaki Gkaze which is spot on. The freshness of these steaks are best when you buy and go home and cook or leave in the freezer for 3 days tops and Ethan as put back in fridge. The smell is amazing, zero regrets and I highly suggest you try to make this for sashimi nagiri or within the rolls with seaweed and avocado, sesame seeds, and other vegetables.
This is delicious cooked in the air fryer with yuzu sauce and a little soy sauce on it. Some of the yuzu sauce’s have soy in them, but I prefer to use the hotter versions then add my own soy.
Since I started buying this tuna, I have stopped getting other fish (tilapia, salmon). It is just that good. The packaging (two filets in a single shrink wrapped tray) would be better if individually wrapped.
We enjoy these tuna steaks however the first time we bought them we were in the store and able to choose which ones we wanted. Second time we received them via delivery, so our shopper chose the tuna. The fish was gray instead of pink. Not rotten smelling, just about to expire, so otherwise we would have given a higher rating. It's good but go to the store to pick up if you are able. Nice flakey tuna steaks the first time, not so much the 2nd time.
The taste is uneven, some parts of the fish are softer in flavor while some others have a very strong fishy taste. Otherwise cheap and easy to cut and cook.
The tuna looked old and when I cooked it the taste was bland. I never had a tuna like this before. I am really looking forward to a good fish soup and now I am wondering if I just have to save the soup and throw the fish away since I am not going to eat it.
Two pieces out of the three packages I ordered went in the garbage because they were discolored, tannish instead of pink,, It wasn't even the brand I ordered and i marked off” No Substitutes”
the tuna stakes are discolored and grey around the edges horrible people should have known better than to send that out . i will return it tomorrow as its late tonight
