i steam this cod over a mixture of rice wine vinegar, ginger and soy, mmmmm delicious. Eight minutes later, I've got a flaky and tasty dinner. I'll be buying this again.
Absolutely great taste nice and flaky excellent for steaming broiling and even frying which I wouldn’t recommend that unless it’s breaded, it would come apart in the skillet or a fry pot. Poor man’s lobster . Wrap fillet and cheese cloth. Bring water to a boil that you’ve added one cup of sugar. place wrap fillets in your sweet Water and boil for about four minutes. Take out unwrap. Prepare your drawnbutter and lemon. Enjoy.
The taste after air-frying it leaves something to be desired but aside from that, it is some high quality fish, so much so that I can use it to make my own version of a fried fish sandwich.
when you can't grab a pole and go out and do your own fishing. this is really good fish to buy. you can even coat it and deep fry it for an awesome sandwich. it may seem a little expensive but for me two pieces makes four meals so that's not very expensive at all. try it I think you would really like it a lot.
I was very disappointed. I have purchased this marketside fresh cod many times, I don’t know what happened. I had to throw it out because it smelled and the texture was a bit slimy. I will try again
This fish had a terrible BAD fishy smell even BEFORE it was out of the package. FRESH Cod has little or no odor! (I worked on a fishing boat) Since it smelled like that even before it was opened I can only assume the packing facility was not cleaned well.
I picked up two packages of these today, 11/16 and one of them has a purchase date by 11/15. I will fix them today instead of returning them but the pickers needs to watch these dates on fresh products. I’ve purchased these several times and they have a later date than when I’ve picked them up. Please advise the pickers of my concern.
It went into the refrigerator within minutes after the delivery on August 3, the label has a sell by date of august 8, I opened it this morning (August 5), and my god, the smell is so awful it made me throw up, and the texture is like wet cotton balls and slimy to the touch, had to tie it up tightly in plastic bags before throwing it into the garbage, hope they are not expecting me to drive it back to the store for a refund.
The reason I am submitting this is to just make aware that, though it told me this product was unavailable when I walked with my two legs in your store the product was available, and it was very upsetting that because I ordered online it was told that it was unavailable to me and I think it should reflect on Walmart because I thought as a store you would want to sell your product to continue for a business and I’m not sure what employee decided not to get the fish but it was available
This cod was a complete disappointment. The smell hit me the second I opened the package, and the taste was even worse. No amount of seasoning or cooking could save it. I ended up throwing it out. Definitely not worth the money. 😒That was 12/13$ of bad fish unless it's supposed to smell bad. They had no flounder.
