Bought this to make cinnamon french to freeze when i want it. Aunt Jamima used to make it but they stopped and changed the name (stupid move). so now i use this bread with eggs, vanilla, nutmeg and extra cinnamon fry and freeze on a tray wrap in Parchment paper, every two pieces, bag it and enjoy when needed with bacon. its absolutely marvelous. you can eat is as toast with butter but i would still sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar but the brioche bread makes a big difference. This is the second time buying it so i hope they keep making it.
This Brioche Cinnamon Bread is just right for making homemade "French Toast" and for homemade "Bread Pudding". This bread has nice size swirls of cinnamon throughout and a hearty crust without it being tough or hard. It comes pre-sliced and the slices are approximately 5/8" thick, Our loaf had 18 slices of bread in it. Southern French Toast Recipe for 2 adults (5 slices total), Set out 5 slices if this bread on a paper towel or plate. Take a paper towel and smear Crisco or Refined Coconut Oil (I keep mine in the frig so it solidifies and the " refined" doesn't have the coconut smell or taste, it has a high heat point too)in your Iron Skillet or Skillet of choice, heat to med-high on the stove top. You want the wet bread to sizzle when placed in the skillet. While skillet is heating up, take a small mixing bowl and beat 3 eggs with 1/8 teaspoon Table or Sea Salt, 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon with a whisk or fork, incorporating air into the eggs. Gradually pour 1 1/4 cups of Whole Full fat Milk into the eggs while you continue to beat them. The salt helps to break the eggs down forming more of a custard type liquid for dredging your bread. We don't like our French Toast to have a "fried egg" exterior. Dredge each slice of bread in the egg milk mixture, 3-4 seconds per side and place it in your skillet, listen for the sizzle. Repeat until you are done . Let each side brown then flip each one. The French toast should be a deep golden brown and have a glisten to it when it's done. We like to dust with powdered sugar a drizzle with syrup. Enjoy!
It's really good plain, toasted with butter or cream cheese. It's kinda expensive, but worth it. I've had it for about a week, and yea!! Not molded-so far. That's unusual for ANY bread fror WM or any other brand. Y'all know that's a kick from WM
I never had this bread before so being an adventurous person I decided to. It's really good it's soft and sweet but not too sweet and very cinnominy mmm.. I made French toast with it man it was really good. While I wouldn't eat it everyday , well I would but I won't lol it's a nice thing to have occasionally and it was a hit for breakfast. I do recommend I was not appointed at all.
This is great bread to make French toast with! I also like to toast it and add a little butter. It is not sweet, so keep that in mind if you want a sweet toast. You can add some cinnamon sugar butter or honey drizzle and it's just right. I've added peanut butter, honey and banana to it which was really good.
Overall, the bread was good, IF it's being used to make French Toast. The slices are extra thick. For toast, it will need a toaster oven or toaster with extra wide openings. It's sweet, though not too much. The cinnamon was lacking IMO. The reason that I got it was that cinnamon is tasty and healthy. I recommend that a generous amount of Ceylon Cinnamon, added to the present recipe.
You cannot see if there is actually cinnamon swirls in the bread. But guess what - there's no cinnamon. The bread color is tan like there might be cinnamon mixed into the dough. I got the bread to make cinnamon french toast and was very disappointed. No cinnamon taste and I even added cinnamon to the egg mixture.
i had been getting a French made Cinnamon loaf w Ceylon Cinnamon in it for $6.99 for 14 oz those loaves at times are crammed full of Cinnamon! This Marketplace Cinnamon loaf for $4.99 Left us wondering like a reworded old Wendy's commercial on other companies hamburgers, "WHERES DA BEEF!!??" in this case: "WHERES DA CINNAMON!!?? It had zero taste of Cinnamon! We never found a even a small vein of cinnamon, it had zero taste of cinnamon, it seemed dry, (i have a swallowing prob that I had inherited from my time in the Air Force so I need moist almost everything that I consume. So you might think twice about this vs paying $2 more for an expensively, quality, Cinnamon loaf by St. Pierre Bakery in France. (BTW during shipping from France to the U.S. its frozen and allowed to thaw so it cannot be refrozen! Wally World does sell a few St Pierre items but as of yet this is so far not in their stores!)
My orders started out great however, now they have been coming hours and hours late!. I do not live by a Walmart to return things which is why I have the delivery. Things have been awful due to the heat and a delay delivery and yet I'm told you Return them to the store! Super frustrating
Shelf stable but arrived with mold, in date…. Their bakeries should be inspected. Happens all of the time. Walmart doesn't care about the disabled. When you need your order shopped, you won't receive it and they do nothing to fix the issue. Or they leave it at the wrong address and if you don't have a vehicle, you have to find a ride to get your order. That you paid for and tipped the ungrateful driver for.
