Soooo delicious! Had a pregnancy craving for copycat broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl and these did not disappoint! Delicious sourdough flavor and texture. I toasted ours for a few minutes before adding soup and it was perfect! Highly recommend!
Hey, folks! It's soup season and instead of going out and spending $85 on a family of four, my family picked up these great bread bowls / boules. They were the perfect size and available fresh at our local Walmart bakery. Fill with your favorite soup. We had broccolli cheese one night, French onion the next and even chili. They hold up well for more than one serving, so you can go back for more. Enjoy!
Used this small sourdough boule to make a cheesy garlic infused pull apart bread. It was perfect! One boule can easily serve two-four people. It crisped up perfectly in the oven and was delicious with garlic infused butter and cheese. Simply, slice boule diagonally into thick (1”) slices but not all the way through and slice it again across the first slices (not all the way through) leaving a diamond pattern. Generously brush melted Kerry gold garlic butter (approximately 4 tbsp) into each crevice created by the slices. Gently push in shredded Tillamook mozzarella cheese into the crevices. Brush leftover butter all over top of boule. Bake in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes or until golden and cheese is melted.
I use these with spinach dip. I cut a circle in the center and scrape out the internal bread set it to the side add the spinach dip inside the bread bowl. Then tear the pieces of bread up to use to dip the dip out.
Great for chili, stews and soups but tooo much bread for me… maybe use for dips at parties… far individual chili serving needs to be smaller. Unless all you wanna taste is bread.
I don't have any use for the substituted itms. It would have been better if those items were not replaced wih the replacement. can I bring them in for refund or a voucher for what I did order ( ciabatta rolls/?
Very small. These are for individual use and not for the spinach dip bread bowl size. It's hard to tell the actual size when purchasing online.
There's not much sour flavor to these. They were fresh and smelled fragrant, but the interior is so dry and crumbly. Disappointing.
Best by date was same day as delivered. Hard %26 likely to mold within a couple days. How do people place online orders %26 request for fresh' bakery goods? Very disappointing.
I was charged full price for short dated bread. The yellow sticker boasting my savings, was a mockery of my spending!!
