The bag of greens suits my needs better than the huge clamshell packaging. It contains lots of red lettuce, baby spinach, plus different types of green lettuce. I use it on sandwiches or in a salad with a few spritzes of aged balsamic vinegar %26 extra virgin olive oil! Voila!
Unfortunately when we picked up our order, salad was already starting to turn brown. By next day, a lot more of the greens were brown and I didn't even want to try it. So it got thrown away and I got a refund. There's not a whole lot of greens in this bag anyway, so if it's going to arrive already spoiled, it's not worth trying to purchase.
If it was possible to give a negative score I would have done that. Soggy %26 mushy %26 not edible. Have had this have each time I have gotten mixed salad greens. It was just throwing money away. NONE of it was edible. Very disappointed. Most fresh produce has been good or at least OK. Will NOT try any kind of salad greens again because both times I paid money for something that wasn’t edible. And this was not days later. They were both mushy the day I received them. Very disappointed.
I have never gotten rotten salad mix from WALMART before! Even though the expiration date (or best by date) was for TODAY I surely did not expect it to be BAD BY TODAY!!! Imagine my surprise when I went to use it😩 I really wanted that salad too now I have to get a refund… hope this isn’t the common practice of this store.
I was disappointed in this bag of salad as it had expiration of dec 10th..received it dec.8th and most of it was brown and limp!! Bag was wet and soggy on inside..could breed bacteria!! I received credit but still what i wanted was a fresh crisp bag of lettuce i had to throw it out!!!
Today is the 10th the salad is supposed to last til the 13th but it arrived looking bad at first glance, I was shocked that the shopper saw it and thought this was edible. There is brown liquid sloshing at the bottom. It’s been happening more lately of buying delivery food with produce that completely inedible, with mold and rotten food, that can’t be qualified as just be damaged from delivery.
Received order today. This item had a use by date of today. When I opened it some of the lettuce was wet and slimy. When I put it in a bowl dated water came out. Needless to say I threw it in the trash. Whoever shopped this item did not pay attention to use by date
It says Jan 29th, and today is the 23rd, and yet it's disgusting with disgusting juices. I had it delivered, and the shopper/driver, George, was rude about what Crap they picked out for me! I usually have no problems with this brand and type, unless it's a day before or the day of, of the bbd.
This is the last time I will buy bagged salad from Walmart. Again, there was moisture in the bag, and the lettuce was already starting to break down. When I opened the bag to insert paper towels, the lettuce was already starting to smell, although the best buy date was seven days away.
I always wash greens regardless of claims of being washed and ready to eat. But, yuck! Found crawly bug as I was washing. How can a bug be sealed in the bag if contents were properly washed? Spring mix otherwise is ok. I washed and used them. Just don't advertise on bag that they are ready to eat cause THEY ARE NOT.
