I think I've only left one other review but I believe this deserves one. Truly exceptional. Splendid taste and texture. Markedly better than the other pre-made cornbread. Actually, even better than Jiffy. I know it's a bit pricey but for taste and ease I will continue to buy it.
I just wanna say that I think I make some of the best cornbread everyone loves my cornbread and I especially love my cornbread and if I have to substitute mine for anything, this is it, this is delicious, absolutely flavorful light you can't go wrong with it. The value of it is. Great, and I tell you when you can use this cornbread with fish. Collard greens string beans, chicken, and barbecue chicken, use it with a side salad, great value. Try it. I think you will love it, I know I do
normally yes i like making my own cornbread but recently i just couldnt be bothered with it; bought store made. and WOW: lovely texture (with bits of corn in it too!) super fresh a little sweet without being cloyingly sweet. absolutely buying this again.
These had nice flavor and were fresh. However, I couldn't get past the full pieces of CORN kernels in them! At first, I was afraid I'd come across something foreign in the bread. But it was a really tough corn kernel, and more than a few of them. Some may say that's expected, but not in any cornbread I ever bought or made. I won't be getting them again and will give the rest away.
Somewhat overpriced, but tasty occasional ready to eat treat. Texture is 'gooier', more moist, tends to fall apart, (NOT a denser dry cornbread). Flavor definitely Sweeter than regular cornbread. Has whole kernels of corn scattered throughout- you either like this or not. I prefer 'regular' dryer, less sweet, firmer bodied cornbread. My family likes this sweeter version.
This cornbread is not that good. I got it as a substitute, mistake. I dont mind my cornbread having some corn in it but not hard, like to tue point of having to spit it out. And I love moist, but not wet. So this is a complete thumbs down for me with this cornbread, and I am born in GA and raised in SC, so thats saying alot. good day yall...giggles.
These were more like cake than bread. They tasted strongly of baking powder and had tough pieces of corn throughout. My family did not finish them with our soup beans and ham dinner. I accepted these as a substitute for twice as many sweet corn bread pieces.
You would think if you could make sweetened cornbread you just just take out the sugar and make real corn bread not corn cake.Un chewable corn kernels all throughout the “ cornbread”, just take out sugar and corn kernels put in a little salt and possibly cracklings and the new southern cornbread would be a winner. This is “Yankee corn bread” Walmart is basically a southern company, Too sweet Yankee Fake Cirnbread
The actual corn kernels inside the cornbread was so hard like a rock that it almost chipped my tooth. I had to go through each cornbread slice and pick out all the corn kernels so I wouldn't damage my teeth on them. It would be nice if they could strain out the corn kernels before baking so someone doesn't damages their teeth on them. I really loved the sweet flavor, but I may not buy it again because it's too much trouble picking out each corn kernel . Hoping that you can make this suggested Change and then I will definitely buy it again.
There was plastic in the food. Like plastic bag pieces cooked into the food. So gross I think I'm going to be sick. I'm having a panic attack. I do not like finding things in my food that is not supposed to be here let alone eating it then finding it. 😵💫🤢🤮 I think I'm going to faint
