Use t in, spaghetti, meatballs, boxed dinner's or whatever you plan on creating for best flavor. Try, tomato Basle pasta sauce with noodles for next dinner with the sweet Italian sausage, or mix it with fried hamburger, a 50/50 or just the sausage, won't disappoint, I promise.
I used the sausage in my recipe for rotel and Velveeta cheese dip. I shared the dip with nearly ten of my neighbors who all enjoyed the dip. Simple three ingredients recipe. One 10 ounce csn of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, the Velveeta and the sausage. Obviously aside from the cheese and Rotel you can add meat or not, additional seasonings or not. I obtained great results without adding any extra ingredients to the above recipe.
Any vegetable cooked with Sweet Italian Ground Sausage is going be delicious. Italian pork sausage makes any vegetable taste so good. Mushrooms and potatoes-Good. Snap peas and corn-Good. Broccoli and rice-Good. Cook it all with olive oil and a bit of butter and bang, it's so good. To flavor veggies or for a tasty omelet or sandwich- add sweet italian sausage.
This italian sausage is a bargain. It has great flavor perfect for spaghetti. I've used it in soups, too. It's cheaper than ground beef and adds more flavor. It doesn't have a lot of grease either. It's great on pizza, of course. I'm having fun finding ways to use it instead of ground beef.
If I need a "non-hot" sausage - this is my "go to" to use in recipes. I recently purchased this in order to make "sausage muffins". The sausage worked well, but the rest of the recipe was very dry and dense. Until I can figure out how to wet up the recipe a little more I doubt I will be getting any more of this for awhile.
So, this is such a versatile item. I use for creamed sausage over biscuits, black beans %26 rice, quiche, etc. Great for a family as well- alot for under $4! Try as a pizza topping.
I buy this brand because it's just as good as the more expensive one. I use it in various pasta dishes, or on pizza. It's very good, not greasy and seasoned well.
I break the sausage up and mix with scrambled eggs and some cheese. The sausage has a great flavor and is easy to cook up! Takes no time at all and makes a great breakfast or fry up with some peppers and onion for lunch or dinner!
Walmart "generic brand" veggies are poorer quality than name brand and should not be substituted. Scheduled deliveries hours in advance on Sunday evenings and holiday evenings are often significantly delayed or delivery cancelled to next day, which vastly reduces shopping utility.
Purchased sweet as they were out of my regular purchase. Wow this is not a sausage to stove top cook. Noticed a few said it had an off taste / smell. I experienced the same thing. Very floral like lavender but over powering. I also noticed right up the salt content was way more than other brands. Very coarse texture with minimal fat, which is ok but lacks the flavor. Would be ok in a sauce probably but overall not for me. Perhaps I got a batch that was not mixed well?? Sorry but it was awful.
