As the title says, it's Walmart brand brie. Comparing this to gourmet brie is ridiculous - adjust your expectations and it will delightfully surprise you. Bit of the distinctive brie flavor, SUPER creamy and buttery - it's great and literally $2.97. Amazing value. I think I prefer this over other low cost grocery store brands. I slice it (easier when cold) and lay it on Milton's mutli-grain crackers - super delicious!
This is the best Brie of them all. I love how extra creamy it is- to the point where I don't buy regular Brie any longer- and the price is great. We use it in our grilled cheese sandwiches and it's always a hit. Also pair it with black or purple grapes for a little snack or on a charcuterie board if you're serving others. It's delicious.
Maybe I got lucky, but the wedge that arrived in my order was just about perfectly ripe. It won't be the best Brie you've ever had or anything, but certainly perfectly guest-worthy. I'd get it again. The review page is prompting me to talk about the flavor. I don't know, it tastes like Brie? Because it's Brie. Not the most flavorful one I've had, but fine, and heaven knows the price is right.
I think this is VERY good alternative to similar products like the President brand, perhaps some of my opinion may be phycological because this would seem fresher with it labeled marketside, but the other brand I've had freshness issues with in the past. For me a bad brie taste is of chemicals and moldy. This one thus far has been creamy and buttery with only earthy taste in the rind.
I expected it to be more solid, like traditional Brie. It has a bit of a sweet taste. Being a big fan of cheese, I don't think sweet should be one of the taste buds should encounter when eating cheese. As a dessert cheese, if you want this cheese, it would pair well with a dry white wine and tart fruit. It's creamy. To each his own. Not my type of cheese.
Not too bad, but not my favorite. It has a very creamy texture and melts in your mouth. The taste is not very strong though. The outer crust was a bit hard and crumbly. It worked for my charcuterie board, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. Probably tastes best if you melt it.
For anyone who is used to REAL triple cream brie, this is not creamy. I can tell they're doing their best to provide that which they no longer offer, but I wouldn't buy it again. It IS palatable, but not on par with what I am used to.
I like melted brie usually by baking it but I was in a hurry and microwaved it for 1 minute. it came out 90 percent oil. Very little spreadable cheese left. oh well live and learn and try another brand.
Purchased online 6/24 with BEST BY date of 7/1. Doesn't give me much time to consume both pkgs. NOT TYPICAL for most Brie that I've purchased from other retailers.
Tasted very cold and moldy another tasted it and said I need to throw it out that it was not safe to eat.
