I purchase one about once every two or three weeks. I can build my own sub the way I like always have lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion, light mayo and banana peppers on hand, short amount of microwave time and have a great sandwich at a great price.
Everything about this subsandwich works for us! First, this is my hubby's favorite eat-at-home sub sandwich. I toast it and serve it with fresh fruit and sometimes soup. It's a great lunch choice! Really LOVE LOVE Walmart's Marketside line of foods! And always impressed with each new food we try! Keep up the great selections!
By them occasionally when needed on busy days this one I kept in fridge magically disappeared I think I have a teenager around here somewhere wife says he thinks they are ok Like I said it's a sandwich in a pinch or busy days ok for it's price lots of types to choose from
This would be so much better if they could provide lettuce and tomatoes, onions etc, within the extra pouch where the dressing is for the hoagie/sub. When you receive the hoagie, they are pretty flat due to air tight packing. The bread is somewhat damp, not dry and as fresh a a hoagie roll from the deli or individual rolls. Over all the price is worth it. Just make sure the date is not expired.
These are great for lunches if you provide your own condiments (or you like plainer subs). The nice thing about them not being sauced is they stay fresh longer and the bread is a good consistency. These are great on-the-go sandwiches that are going to be a lot cheaper for you to buy than the ones at most sub shops. Just add a bag of chips and maybe a 2-liter of soda or bottled waters and you're ready to go! :) We have ordered these many times from Walmart, and one thing I appreciate %26 count on is the consistency. They also are packed fresh and I've never gotten them stale once. There's enough meat %26 cheese to make them satisfying for a lunch or dinner meal, depending on how hungry you are and what size you get! :)
The only real complaint I had about this sandwich was the bread, it'd become really soft and almost gummy from being in the plastic packaging, but I guess that's unavoidable to keep the sandwich fresh and clean. I tried eating half right out of the fridge, and the other half I toasted in the oven, and it was enjoyable both ways. There was a decent amount of turkey and cheese, although the cheese was a bit mild. Duke's mayo and some mustard were in the exact right amount for the sandwich. One whole sandwich will really make 2 lunches, making it a very economical quick lunch.
The bread is always soggy! I have bought 4 of them and each one has always been soggy and the cheese and meat is like…glued to the inside of the bread. Very hard to take apart to apply the mayo and mustard. They were a waste of money! Not worth the $6.99. I think it was. A waste of $30.00 😡😡😡😡
The bread was soggy, and the meat was old and brown even though the date on the package said 11/23. I will never waste my money on this again. I would have given it zero stars, but that wasn't an option. I threw all of these nasty hoagies in the trash or I would have returned them to the store.
the beead is so awful, it has weird chunks throughout it, the cheese is like plastic and the meat is slimy and highly processed. this is such an expensive mistake. do not order this, it is nothing like their old sandwiches its like food for a kids plastic toy kitchen. i took a few bites and threw it away, ill eat almost anything but the texture and taste made me almost throw up.
I like sub sandwiches and thought I could not go wrong with this turkey and cheddar. My first bit, there was a hard piece of plastic, I picked it out. I took a second and third bite and again another piece of plastic. the sub has an aspirin like after taste. I won't buy again or would I give to a small child.
