I usually make my own but after trying some at a friend's I found that this is surprisingly good, and so much easier than shopping and prepping for homemade tzatziki. If you want to bring it up a notch, sprinkle fresh ground sumac on it! It's wonderful.
I love you, Marketside Tzatziki Style Dip, 16 oz, Refrigerated, Contains milk, Cool as stone and bright with dill, sharp garlic, smooth as silk. You taste like health, like clean restraint, like something I'm allowed, Cucumber ghosts and yogurt dreams that make me feel so proud. But you are style, not truth itself, a careful little lie, Not tzatziki born of balance, but a trick of tongue and eye. You wear the mask of virtue well while hiding what you cost; I read the label, close the door, and mourn what I have lost. O wine of gods I cannot drink, cold altar of my pain, I crave you still, I pass you by, and choose my rules again.
Delicious flavor, nice consistency. Excellent snack or light meal with veggies, or pita chips or crackers! Buy this product regularly! Learning new ways to incorporate into meals. Great for dressing a Cucumber, Tomato, and Onion salad - family loves it.
Absolutely love this dip, it has just the right amount of tang and actually has small pieces of cucumber within the dip. I recommend stirring the dip when you first open it to mix all the settled ingredients together. Also, this definitely isn't your fresh made Tzatziki, but I consider it a good alternative when you don't have time to make it from scratch. Hope this review helps some shoppers.
A creamy greek yogurt with herbs tasting dip. When I don't want to make my own, this is my go-to. Walmart sells 2 options. I prefer this one. We dice Cucumber and fresh dill into it for a more rustic and homemade look/ taste. Great as a dip or a creamy topping for baked potatoes, chicken, Falafel, pretzelz to protein. Just about anything tastes better with this on top!
I love this dip. Having it around for chips, club crackers and bread is a quick and tasty snack. I have not tried it with pretzels, but I feel like it would not go well with them. It has a long shelf life in the fridge (not pantry) I have tried several other brands of this kind of dip and Market side brand has the best flavor. It has a slight chunky cucumber texture and not soupy. I highly recommend it. My only complaint about this dip is I find that it is out of stock a lot so I get it when I can.
its my favorite tzatziki dip in the world. (Disclaimer: Have never been to Greece) Ive tried 25 different samples from all the major markets and i will give Walmart's my highest endorsement. ...that felt weird to write. Please keep it around and dont tweak the recipe! it's slightly more tangy than most others. the consistancy of the dip is fluffy which keeps it lighter and more "refeshing" than denser versions. Not overly salty, but it compensates with a unique sour taste. look, Im not a connoisseur of food but i did grow up a "fat kid" so i know a tasty snack accouterment and this one is a gem! thank you Walmart.
This stuff is excellent! At first I was worried I wouldn't be able to use it all because the container is on the large-ish side. But I blew through the whole thing in less than a week because it was so good on a variety of things -- cut veggies, fish tacos, thinned with apple cider vinegar as a salad dressing. Love it!
I love the Marketside Tzatziki Style Dip. I read some reviews that say it doesn't have enough flavor and I agree that it could use a flavor boost so I add some fresh garlic to it and wait until the following day to eat it. It gives it the flavor boost that makes all the difference in the taste. I like it as a salad dressing. I also like to put it on chicken wraps I make with Tyson Southern Style Chicken Breast Tenders. They're so yummy. It's a bit pricey but it is a decent amount that you get. I guess everything is pricey nowadays. I will continue to buy this dip on occasion as a special treat.
this is something i get special for gryos, specifically. so i dont buy it frequently. yhe last two yimes ive bought it, it has been too salty. just checked the ingredients online and i could have sworn this mentioned feta, cream cheese, etc but now its a list of scary sounding chemistry. lol it does get quite watery after having been opened for 24 hrs. im fairly sure that it is from the small chunks of cucumber in it. mix it in and go.
