Marketside Variety Cake, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Lemon and Coconut, 27 ounce, Base and Dome I must say this is a greating tasting cake, it was so fresh and moist. The cinnamon was perfect, the vanilla, lemon and coconut as well. I had no complaints, I hope to purchase another soon.

My weakness is chocolate and my goto desert is the chocolate cake. However this time I decided to try the multi sample cake and man do I have a new favorite. Love the Sock it to me flavor cake.

I wanted something lemon and this was the only thing left on the shelf that looked good. I ate the lemon part first, then the cinnamon one. I had a few bites of the chocolate and ended up throwing it out. It didn't taste very much like chocolate.

when you order online they just grab something close to order. the cake they brought me had none of what I asked for .

The cake was dry. They both were open at the bottom and very dry. I ended up throwing them out. I should have taken them back but the store was closed. I will never buy again

This cake would be really good ,if it was fresh. It's dry and crumbly. Drive up on 9/1 %26 expiration 9/5 sticker, obviously with bakery items needs be sold alot fresher.

The cakes were overly dry, almost if they were days old. The only way to eat the cake was to microwave it first.

I purchased a Marketplace Variety cake a few months back. It was dry and tasted old. I tried microwaving different pieces to no avail. Still tasted old. Threw it away. I decided to give the cakes another chance recently. Again, dry and tasted old. You can NOT convince me that they are not taking whole cakes close to the sell by date and reselling them cut up into quarters as a variety cake before the date completely runs out. At the time of this review, there are 15 five star reviews. There are 13 one star reviews, and a A few in between. The majority of the negative reviews mention the cakes were dry. You do the math. I'm telling you as an honest reviewer, the two that I've had have been dry and tasted old. For me to throw away food on my limited senior budget trust and believe the cake was NOT fresh. The only reason I didn't take the second one back for a refund is because I was so disgusted that I fell for it a second time. As the saying goes… “Fool me, once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” Lesson learned.

Not only was this cake very dry it was also very stale. They should be checking the shelf life of their bakery items more often. I ended up throwing it away.

i wish this item came with a date of expiration on it. Seemed very dry and stale. wont purchase anymore.
