Marketside Variety Creme Cake (Vanilla, Meyer Lemon, Sock It to Me and Chocolate Fudge), 27 oz

Wasn't sure which cake to get so I got all of them! Wasn't sure if I liked 2 of the flavors %26 ended up liking them all! Nice treat to have your choice of flavor or all flavors to compare taking bites of each in-between! This cake %26 a cup of coffee or milk for your sweetheart will warm their hearts. Oh, yes you can micro pieces to! So yummy!

My family really likes when I get this cake. It provides different options for whatever flavor our sweet tooth is craving! Want chocolate? It's there and it's moist and has a good chocolate frosting on top. Like a little bit of cinnamon to offset blood sugar spikes? Well, the sock it to me flavor portion is ready to sock it to ya! Looking for that tart taste of summer? Pucker up for the lemon portion! And finally, we got those picky eaters who just like everything on their plates to be plain and without frills....and the vanilla portion not only meets those demands, it also tastes great. This entire sales is moist and delicious. It's great for an after dinner dessert or an afternoon slice or that right before bed snack that goes perfect with a cup of cold milk.

This is a very special desert that I had not seen before. It came in perfect condition even though it was delivered, thank you driver. Each section tastes very good and was nice %26 fresh and moist. I love it and it would be wonderful for company or to bring as a hostess gift.

I think the cakes were at least over 1.5 days because when we opened the package and ate a slice, it was already slightly dry and crumbly. There needs to be a shorter retention or discount sooner to move these type pastries faster. The visual presentation was fine at the time of purchase.

I love the fact that you can taste four different cakes for the price of one. The icing on each potion of cake was delicious but there is not enough of it! The chocolate cake was dry-disappointed because chocolate is usually my favorite. Vanilla was ok (not much of a fan of vanilla anyway but it was moist and probably good if you like plain vanilla). The Meyer Lemon is more sweet than lemony. My favorite is the Sock It To Me cake that is cinnamon. If it had more icing it would taste like a honey bun.

All varieties were quite bland in flavor and dry in texture. Maybe this was just a package that was stale but it was very disappointing. I salvaged it by putting frozen raspberries and yogurt over each slice but it didn't help much. Sad because many of Walmart bakery goods are good value in both taste and price. I may try again in case it was just one that should have been retired due to getting old but I wouldn't rely on it if you plan to serve to guests. If I reorder I will post another review.

It wasn't exactly Great, however nothing really wrong with it, but it's not what I like in cake. It was a little on the dry side, and the flavor was not there for me. I like a cake that is incredibly moist and rich with a sufficient amount of frosting that's not overly sweet. I'll know next time it could be many people's cup of tea. Just not mine. I'm not sure.

This cake tasted like it had been frozen for a few years, the flavor of each was very bland and the texture was extremely gummy. I threw the whole cake away. I have ordered these in the past and they were awesome. BUT this time I got a total disaster.

The cake was overall a disappointment. VERY DRY - had a corn bread texture- crumbled off and you couldn't even press your fork down on the crumbs to pick them up. The only moist portion was at the very top where the glaze was. If you cut off half the cake, it would be manageable to choke down. The sock it to me cake was why I purchased the item. It looked like it had nuts in the picture. It had none. I looked up the recipe online and it shows a yellow cake mix with cinnamon, brown sugar and pecans. This was a white/vanilla cake with cinnamon swirl at the very top. (Again, cut off the bottom half and it might be salvageable). Lemon was lemon, chocolate and vanilla were as expected.

This cake was hard and dry. The Best Buy date was only a few days away but it was part of a delivery order. I bought it for Sunday dinner but threw it away in shame before my guests. If you purchase it, make sure it's fresh. I don't recommend ordering it as part of delivery as the shopper will choose something near expiration .
