Apprehensive at first, but I followed through with my curiosity and purchased these pistachio muffins, especially considering the seemingly rave reviews on Walmart. SO GLAD... So delicious. I cut one in half and microwaved it for 15 seconds. This muffin is so moist without being oily and so soft without crumbling in my hand. LOVE!
I just want to say that whoever came up with this recipe God Bless You. I am a home baker and I have come up with some great combination muffins but never ever have I made a pistachio muffin I love pistachios and this muffin is the bomb. Thank you for giving my taste buds something so enjoyable to eat. I will definitely be a repeat buyer.
If you like/love walnuts and pistachios, these muffins are for you. They freeze wonderfully, just wrap individually in foil and place several in a freezer bag. Heat in the microwave directly from the freezer or put in the refrigerator the night before to thaw. I always heat them in the microwave, sometimes I slice in quarters and butter them. Regardless of whether you heat them or eat room temperature, they are fabulous.
These muffins are Fabulous! I love pistachios and these were perfect. It's too bad that folks with nut allergies can't try them. I also love that they're green. And not that sickly green colored bread my college dining hall would serve at St Patrick's Day. These are a bright vibrant green. The big surprise for me was the texture and the crumb. These are solid, sturdy muffins not some airy fluff muffins I've gotten from other store bakeries. Any muffin, or other baked goods, that practically dissolves into a tasteless ball of goo is crap. So far, these and other muffins I've purchased have not disappointed. They're firm and taste wonderful. I plan on buying more in the future.
OMGEESH!! These blew me away! I don’t usually eat this stuff so that had a bit to do with it also, but Wowie!! The pistachio flavor is so spot on! It is such a specifically unique, creamy %26 rich flavor. The walnuts are the perfect complement to the decadent muffin. I AM HOOKED!
First time trying the Walnut and Pistachio Muffins, I was quite impressed. So, I ordered some more to feeeze and have for breakfast or a snack. They were fresh and moist, not too sweet, the ratio of walnuts were fine. And for 4 large muffins compared to the same cost of 1 muffin some of these name brand coffee houses sell, you can't beat that. I'm really impressed WalMart. I just wished you wouod keep this one rather than making it a "seasonal flavor".
The pistachio muffins are the best I've ever had and we get them every time we have an order from Walmart! The taste is wonderful and the texture is fabulous! We've had other brands and they're not as tasty with pistachio flavor and nuts as these. The consistency has been the same since we found them and started buying them and that is important that the consistency stays the same. And we love the green color with all the nuts on top and inside! Please keep making them! (I would take some pictures, but we already ate them!)
I have a muffin for breakfast every morning. I love the Walmart ones. Not too sweet, perfect size, delicious. I love pistachio and I've tried pistachio muffins at other places… they're always too sweet, don't taste of pistachio, or taste artificial. Not Walmarts!!! Really yummy
Omg, I felling in love with these muffins! My husband is a big fan of pistachios favored things, me not so much. My husband was like try it, its not that strong but the favor is there. i tried it.....and ITS SO GOOOODDDD! We both enjoy eating ours with a cup of coffee in morning. this is probably the only thing pistachio wise that I'll eat lol
Do not recommend. Tastes bland, fake. The texture was fine and the walnuts were bountiful but otherwise, not a good product. Pistachio flavor was nonexistent and what was identifiable was garishly artificial. Marketside Bakery products are usually pretty decent for the price, but skip these.
