It's a nice/thick material that doesn't seem like it will easily crack or turn yellow within a year (yay). I love that it comes with rubber feet to add to each bottom corner to prevent scratching the surface you sit in on. I've had trays in the past that didn't and I was sad to later move then and find a very scratched finish.

The heft and thickness of the acrylic make it substantial. The tray is so beautiful in its simplicity, with two cut out handles and tiny feet (simple assembly of the feet required— they stick on). Although it's designed to be a letter tray for office use, I think it's way too beautiful for such a mundane task. I'm keeping it on my dresser to hold perfume bottles and jewelry. The Brody is an elegant, gorgeous tray!

There is an uneven corner and it tends poke you. It is also longer than it is wide by a lot. The handles are helpful thought and it does was it is made for
