Martha Stewart Everyday Silverberry 5-Quart Silver Stainless Steel Dutch Oven

It will take time to know for sure how well and long this pot will hold out but if first appearances and inspection are any indication it should last a lifetime. It is very heavy duty stainless steel with seemingly quality rivets holding the handles on. Dishwasher safe. Has a built in 4 quart/4 liter printed measurement indicator inside the pot. The look of it is very stylish and modern. This will be perfect for cooking my chili in. I prefer a stainless steel pot over aluminum for chili. The handles are heat conductive and will get hot during use. One thing that I like that is overlooked sometimes is the label sticker that was on it. Often it's next to impossible to get these things off without a lot of elbow grease and scratching the item. The label on this peeled right off with no problem. Ok, let the cooking begin!

This Dutch oven is just the right size for my roast and veggies to cook in the oven. It's easy to clean and it's really light weight. I like that it has a glass lid so you can see inside which keeps you from having to take the lid off and losing heat. I do wish they had covering on the handles but, it works as expected. I do recommend this Dutch Oven.

This 5 quart Martha Stewart Stainless Steel Dutch Oven is well-made. The bottom has aluminum bonded to it to help distribute the heat more evenly. It feels much heavier than comparable-sized stainless steel pots. The measurements inside the pot appear to be done with a lazer so they should hold up for a very long time and are much easier to read than stamped or embossed measurements. The clear glass lid is very nice and they say it will withstand oven temperatures up to 350 F. This pot can be used on virtually any kind of stove including induction and is dishwasher safe. About the only limitation I see is that it cannot, of course, be used in a microwave oven. It says it is made of 18/8 nonreactive stainless steel which promotes efficient searing and carmelization. When boiling water the bubbles forming on the bottom are very evenly spaced, much better than a stainless steel pot that does not have the aluminum bonded to the bottom. It is just the right size for my first use, which is 1 gallon of Agua de Jamaica beverage. I am anxious to try it out with some beef stew and hocks and beans, both of which tend to burn right in the middle during the last few minutes of cooking. I'm expecting that they will not burn in this pot.

I was so excited when I received my Martha Stewart Everyday Silverberry 5-Quart Matte Silver Stainless Steel Dutch Oven with Lid! I immediately went online for Dutch oven recipes, headed to the store to purchase ingredients, and bright and early the next morning started preparing to use my new Dutch Oven! I decided to break it in by making a French Onion Brisket, so I could sear, caramelize, de glaze, add stock/seasoning, and bake. I figured this could fully test the capabilities of it. I washed/dried my Dutch Oven and got started, everything went very smooth without any sticking, or burning. The Dutch Oven passed every test along the way. I couldn't be happier with how well it cooked the brisket, it turned out tender and delicious. I am so excited to be able to cook with my Dutch Oven for many recipes to come! I love it!!!!

This has more options than I knew it had when I ordered it. It has a release valve in the lid to help prevent boil-overs. It is also made of material that makes it oven safe. It has marks on the inside so you can measure how much you have in the pot. Really happy with this Dutch oven.

This Dutch over has a very smooth surface. It can be placed in the over oven or on top, it is dishwasher safe. The lid can take heat up to 350. Beautiful addition to any kitchen, if you can afford the cast iron Dutch oven. I would say it's perfect for the beginners.

I really like that the lid is clear and you can see everything that is going on in the pot. Everything I have cooked in it cooks evenly and tastes great. I highly recommend this Dutch oven.

This Dutch oven is the best. It is very heavy, which makes it very sturdy. In the picture you will see 5lbs. of chopped potatoes. And there is so much room left I could probably put in another couple of lbs. There are measurements on the inside which is also great. I highly recommend this pot.
