The instruction manual clearly states out how to maneuver, use the mutliple functions on the controller, and fly with ease. I love the colors. They are easy to spot when the drone is flying 100s of yards away. The spiderman design is built in nicely. Batteries are required and they supply you with a built in lithium ion battery for the drone rechargeable by an included USB cord. If anything breaks they include several spare parts for the rotors. You will have lots of fun flying with everyone. Great at home, picnics in the park, and camping trips.

It seems to be built well and should last a while. It took them a few minutes to get used to operating the remote controls, but once they were used to it, they thought it worked okay. The battery did not last very long because it needed to be charged. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Spiderman theme makes this drone eye catching. Kids love superheroes. First issue is though, it specifically says that it isn't a toy and is for ages 14 and up who already know how to fly a drone. We have some drone experience so that was fortunate. We followed the instructions exactly. Batteries were easy to install. Plastic quality is fairly thin and flimsy. On attempting to startup, the instructions didn't work. I contacted the company who sent me a video of how to start it, which was different than what the instructions said. I let them know the instructions needed updated. Once started, it does fly. It's a little jumpy and hard to control but it does fly. Make sure to have plenty of room while you figure out it's controls. I found that there were maybe 3 buttons on the controller that didn't even push. I did make the company aware of that as well, but it wasn't made clear if that was normal or a defect. The instructions made it appear those buttons should do something. Overall, it will fly once you figure out how to start it (push one of the down trim buttons) but is not the easiest thing to control, and the rotor lock function is non-existent as far as I could figure out.

My son really enjoyed flying it around and practicing all the different ways he could turn it! He even tried to fly it into his brother's room. The drawback we faced included the difficulty in pairing the drone and then actually starting it.. we would keep following instructions as they were stated in the manual but kept having issues. Once it worked, however, we had tons of fun learning new ways to maneuver the drone.
