Marvel - Eternals [DIGITAL VIDEO DISC]

Great DVD, great price, great story for a sci-fi fan, great gift for a Marvel fan. One of the few sites offering it in DVD format.

Finaly, an original story out of Hollywood.

Eternals starts a new phase of the Marvel movies and introduces a lot of new characters. Some get more character development than others, which is unavoidable when introducing so many new characters, even in a 2 hour, 37 minute movie. The plot is reasonably engaging and the visuals are beautiful. My favorite visual was the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. One of the new characters is Karun, played by Harish Patel, who is the assistant to one of the Eternals who is posing as a Bollywood actor. (Bollywood is the movie capital in India. The Bollywood dance sequence is well done and similar to what is found in many Bollywood movies.) As a normal (that is, non-super hero) character, he brings both a source of humor and a grounding to some of the superhero characters, similar to Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan. character in the earlier Marvel movies. There is both a mid-credits and end-credits scene. Both scenes are links to future movies, as is typical with the Marvel movies. Overall I give the movie a solid A rating.

Good addition to the MCU

An interesting take on a part of the Marvel universe that hasn't gotten much attention. I enjoyed the film as a stand-alone, but I wonder how they're going to give so many new characters their just due in a cinematic universe already overcrowded with metas. Overall, an enjoyable presentation, moved along well. I'll give it a strong B .

MCU could have done a better job telling the story, but spent far to much time on the past timeline.

It has a great cast, worth watching one time, but it did not live up to all the hype unfortunately

Why is this a movie? It has no real connection to the rest of the MCU. The characters are so bland that you forget their names from scene to scene. If you ever feel like your ideas are stupid, remember that someone pitched this to Kevin Feige and he spent $200 million making it.
