Masterbuilt 40 inch Digital Electric Smoker with Window and Legs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my Masterbuilt smoker now for 2 years and it has been a game changer. I love the ease of use, and the electric fan with temperature setting allows for an almost guaranteed good outcome. I typically create a timing plan for my meats and fish and then just ensure that the charcoal is being kept at the right levels. Cleaning is the biggest chore but is not that hard.

I had a 30 inch one for 7 years. It’s still working but I just wanted a new one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vertical smoker. Mine is one of the older versions that does not have the stand. I have had it for 4 years now and use t at least a few times a month. It always produces the best end product. I love how you can control the smoke level by adding the chips vis the external inserter. It is very large and can hold alot of meat. I also use it to make Jerky!

I've smoked a 17lb pork shoulder that turned out amazing in it. I've also done 2 18lb turkeys, ribs. This smoker has done everything I've put in and had amazing taste . If you cant smoke food with this you shouldn't be smoking food.

I strongly recommend this smoker to anyone who is interested in an easy way to smoke various foods. Just set the temp and timer and add chips and recommended intervals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this smoker for about six months. I am a beginner at smoking food and this unit works great for me. I set the thermostat and timer, and some water and wood chips and letter go. I do use a digital meat thermometer probe. I love this smoker for the ease of use and relatively small footprint. Food comes out great!

The only thing I wish were different would be the size of the hooper for the wood chips. It needs to be bigger so I don’t have to keep refilling it when I have a long smoke going on. Other than that, great little smoker!

This smoker is brilliant in many ways. Digital control that allows temp adjustment down to the single degree. Timer allows cooking overnight without oversight. Window lets you watch the product cook. Wood chips are easily put in without losing temp by opening the door. But this will not last forever Consider only having this for 4-6 years before needing to replace it.

I’m a first time smoker buyer, and am very happy with the 340G! The ease of use of the electric smoker is great, and it produces a nice cabinet of smoke. The construction is solid and it was easy to assemble. The controls are good, but hard to read in the full sun. The internal temp probe is reasonably accurate - about 10-15 degrees F off. You will need a separate multichannel temp probe. I smoked a full packer brisket and some trout so far and they turned out great. You do have to add wood chips every hour or so, but that’s okay. The temp has to be monitored anyway. When it got windy, I got temperature spikes and had to play with it a bit. As long as the external wind is reasonably constant, it seems to be pretty stable from a temp perspective. It’s easy to clean, and easy to use. Great smoker, particularly for a beginner like me.

Really like this smoker it works excellent. Would give 5 stars but the second use it stopped working due to moisture getting on the control board. This issue is easily fixed by sealing it up around the wires. If this happens it will ruin you day of smoking(Thanksgiving Turkey) Masterbuilt should step up and fix this issue so no one else has this problem.
