Masterbuilt Digital Electric Smoker 130S - 30"

I had a charcoal smoker years ago but this electric smoker does keep the same temp for hours so you dont have to keep feeding coals when you are smoking so far I love it I smoke chicken the first time and its was sooo gooood!

Ease of operation, quality of the product, and hopefully the results I get when I learn the process of smoking the meats.

my wife loves the smoker..small enough to keep on the back deck and very easy to use..it quit working after 3 months but customer service was great. they never tried to blame us for the problem and sent our parts the same day..best costomer service ive ever dealt with by far..if it hadnt been for the over heating sensor failing, i would have given it 5 stars..

has a lot of toys with this smoker don't care for the way it cooks took way to long and the meat comes out kinda slimey

I purchased this unit in September of 2018. I first noticed that the control timer would shut off after 40. I called Masterbuilt and they sent me a new power circuit board. I replaced the part and gave it another try. I set the temp to 180. I went to check on it after an hour I found smoke coming from all the joints. The actual temp was at 160 and the heater was still on. I also found that the plastic on the bottom of the door was all distorted and had pulled away from the screws. I called Masterbuilt again. they told me that when they sent me the power circuit board they had also ordered me a digital control panel, which was still on order and to not use the unit until that part arrived. 9 months later and I'm still waiting on the part to be shipped from overseas. So much for doing any smoking with this unit!

I was super excited when I bought this smoker, but it only worked the first time I used it. Customer service warrantied the heating element and control panel, and it still won't produce smoke. I have read the user manual at least 15 times looking for something I was doing wrong, and I found nothing. It started by replacing the control panel that failed after a month, then they warrantied the heating element. I have tried to use it about six times, and each time it doesn't produce smoke. Isn't that what a smoker does (the owners manual says it does)?? The customer service reps. said they would replace the box if the panel and element didn't fix it, but then I got denied the next time I called. Masterbuilt does not stand by their products, and I was told I would be contacted by someone higher up the chain after respectfully requesting the company address the issues further, and they never responded. I will be putting it in the trash after less than a year. I have wasted too many expensive pounds of meat to keep messing with this unit that won't work. Seriously, read the other reviews. I'm not the only one having the same issue. I hope this helps someone make an educated decision.
